President's Report BHSNA had great success at both the State Championship and State Age Carnivals. Both carnivals provided unbelievable netball skills, athleticism and camaraderie. When you play a team sport you learn that it doesn t come down to the best player, but rather it is a combination of working as a team, respect their peers and coach and accepting decisions. Congratulations to both the Over 35s and the 13 Reps for the victorious efforts in taking out the titles in their age group. I feel extremely proud of all our State and State Age teams in their efforts and results over both weekends. To the Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers, Parents, Executive, Life Members, Selectors and spectators who also attended and supported our players itwas a wonderful time for all. The season is almost over and it seems like yesterday we were welcoming everyone to the 2015 season. We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone luck for their Congratulations to both the Over 35s and the 13 Reps for the victorious efforts in taking out the titles in their age group! To our little Net-Set-Go participants we hope you had a fun season making new friends and learning new skills along the way and that this was just the beginning of your netball years. As we approach the end of the season we have this year decided to hold a Thank You evening at The Brewery, our new sponsor this season, for club delegates. More details about this evening will be sent to clubs in the near future. The end of this season is the completion of our 40th year of competitions. To celebrate this momentous occasion there will be an Anniversary dinner on 29th August at the Novotel, Norwest. Anne Sergeant will be our MC for a night full of great memories and laughter. Rep Round - Up BHSNA Representative Program Juniors State Age Championships 2015 The Netball NSW State Age Championships were held 27 to 29 June at four Associations, with Baulkham Hills hosting the Championship Division. With perfect weather our four teams 12 s, 13 s, 14 s and 15 s undertook 3 days of netball. At the conclusion of the tournament are teams finished: enthusiasm over the last 8 months were rewarded with this fabulous result. Well done to our 12 s, 14 s and 15 s, you played fantastic netball over the three days. Unfortunately we say farewell to our 15 s after their time in the junior program and wish them all the best as they transition into the senior program and pathways into further representative programs. 13 years State Age Champions 2015 12 years 8th position 14 years 6 th position 15 years 5 th position Congratulations to our 13 s State Age Champions 2015, an awesome achievement! Seniors Baulkham Hills Shire Netball Association is now taking applications for the position of Head Coach of our Team 1 to be entered into the 2016 Netball NSW State League Competition. This role will encompass not only recruiting and coaching the side but implementing short and long term goals to ensure the future success of the Association in maintaining and building the senior base. You will also assist the Association in the development of a Coach Mentoring Program. The purpose of this program is assist with development of the Associations State League and Junior Representative Teams Coaches, as well as, involving yourself and your Senior State League players for Guest/Specialist training sessions with our lower State League and Junior Representative Teams You will also provide assistance and advice in the identification of new coaches and help current coaches with new training methods and ideas. Minimum Requirements; Current Intermediate Coaching Qualification and Working with Children s Check. The Coach will report directly to the Senior Rep Convenor and/or Coaching Convenor. Umpires Utterings Umpiring is on the move.. Liana Sedgers awarded her National A, such a wonderful achievement! Liana Sedgers and Tayla Favell being invited to officiate at the Australian Secondary Schoolgirls National Championship to be held at Netball Central 22 August to 28 August, another fantastic milestone! Kylie Mulcare being one of a number of NSW umpires making themselves available for training games during World Champs, woo hoo! And not to mention all our latest National B badge achievers Jordan Forbes, Sarah Ford, Emily Horne, David Hughes and Rebecca Monty and our National C badge achievers Rebecca Breedon, Rachel Farlanga, Annaliese Fedczyna, Josephine Lenaz, Katelyn Venhuizen and Brooke Weber. State Age Championships this district provided 21 umpires over the 3 days who represented this association at an outstanding level. Semifinals are only 4 weeks away and every umpire wanting to officiate must have a current theory pass so now is the time to check your records and update. Your theory pass is only valid for 5 years so if your theory pass is prior to 2011 you will need to complete the umpiring theory exam again. NWC2015 COACH & UMPIRE CONFERENCE Held across the Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 window (7-16 August), the NWC2015 Coach and Umpire Conference will incorporate various delivery formats including panel sessions, on and off court presentations and practical workshops. The conference is endorsed by Netball Australia and the International Netball Federation (INF) and is unique opportunity for coaches and umpires to develop their skills whilst also experiencing the sport s pinnacle event the Netball World Cup. Registrar s Report SPRING COMPETITION 2015 As the season is concluding next month, now is the time to think about playing in the Spring Night Competition. This is a great way to keep fit in the off season, running from Monday 12th October to Monday 23rd November. Junior games are 6.30pm and Senior games are played at 7.30pm. Each team needs to supply their own umpire. So you still get time to enjoy your Christmas and summer and all for only $110/ team. If you are not already registered for 2015, NNSW have introduced a World Cup of Netball special rego price of $50/ player, a significant discount for both Senior and Junior players. Nomination forms are now open and can be forwarded to bhsna@tpg.com.au or dropped into the Administration building. As the season is concluding next month, now is the time to think about playing in the Spring Night Competition. Gala Day 2015 ALL 7s, 8s and 9s (inc 9 Netball) season concludes with a Gala Day on Sunday August 2, which is the day after Round 14. Day starts at 10am and concludes around 2.00pm. Each team needs to supply an umpire for their team. At the end of the games players will receive a small treat as a team, rather than waiting around for an end of day presentation. 8

FINALS SERIES INFORMATION With the final series just around the corner, it is important for Clubs, coaches, managers and players to be up to date with the BHSNA Playing Regulations Policy and Procedures. The policy and procedure covers important areas including player eligibility, borrowing players, forfeits, responsibilities of officials including scorers, just to name a few areas. It also provides information on drawn games in Semi Finals, Finals and Grand Finals. Please take the time to read through the policy and procedure to understand how this applies to your teams.
