Team Challenge STALLS To guarantee and hold stalls in requested barns, you must (1) email to stalls@sedgefieldshowgrounds.com or mail reservations to ECMA, c/o Ms. Sara Steady, 3707 Creek Point Way, Greensboro, NC 27407, AND (2) send a check to the address mentioned above. No stall refunds will be made after 3 days before show. Exhibitors who reserve stalls online and do not cancel at least 3 days before the show will be charged. FEES Box/tack stalls-$80 ($70 if payment received 3 days before show) Individual Classes - $20 Walk/Trot classes - $15 ($5 service fee if only classes entered) Office/Service Fee - $15 per day Non Stabled Horses - $15/day ($25/day for horses that don't show) Entry fees for Jumper classes will be $30 with $10 being added back and distributed as prize money as follows: 35%/25%/15%/15%/10%. Entry fees for Children s/adult Classics will be $50. A post entry fee of $5 will be charged for entries not received by 6:00pm Friday. You may fax your entry without check. $300 Greensboro Children s/adult Hunter Classic Judged on performance and soundness, suitability and manners to count. Open numerical scoring. To jump 2 9. The 12 horses with the highest scores will return for a second round. Scores from the second class of each respective division will be used as the first round of the qualifier. The first and second round scores will be added and placed in order of their total score; in the case of a tie, the second round score will decide. Must have 6 entries to fill. Entry fee: $50 Prize money: $105, $75, $45, $30, $30, $15

RULES 1. Recognized divisions count toward year-end NCHJA awards. 2. Six ribbons will be awarded in all classes. 3. Championship and Reserve ribbons will be awarded in each division except Jumpers and Equitation. Championship will be figured according to USEF rules and guidelines. 4. Adult riders do not have to own the horse they show, but they must be Amateurs. 5. Short Stirrup riders are those 12 & under in their first or second year of showing. 6. Special Hunter, Schooling Hunter, Sedgefield Hunter and Low Hunter Divisions open to all horses, ponies and riders. 7. The Walk/Trot division is limited to riders that do not enter any classes that canter. Walk/Trot/Canter is restricted to horse/rider combinations that don t jump at the same show. 8. Young entry open to riders 14 & under in their first or second year of showing. May not cross enter into any other over fence classes. 9. Classes will be judged on soundness, pace, manners, way of going & jumping style. Emphasis on suitability will apply in Short Stirrup, Long Stirrup, PreChild/Adult Hunter, Children's and Adult Amateur. 10. EVERYONE MUST WEAR APPROVED PROTECTIVE HEAD GEAR WHEN MOUNTED. 11. Owners and exhibitors are responsible for all horses and fees entered by them or their agents, even though payment of these fees are not submitted along with the entry blanks. 12. RETURNED CHECKS will be assessed $30 plus collection fees. 13. MINOR EXHIBITORS: Parents or guardians of minor exhibitors shall not hold the Show Management and/or the Facility and its owners liable for any injury to such minor. No minor's entry will be accepted unless it is signed by a parent or guardian or agent. 14. Stabling available: $80.00 for weekend ($70.00 if pre-paid). 15. Sedgefield Show Grounds, Inc., its owners and Equestrian Competition Management Associates, L.L.C. will not be responsible for injury to horse or riders or any individual, nor will they be responsible for loss of or damage to personal property. 16. ALL EXHIBITORS will be charged $15.00 per day per horse to cover office, medical and other services. 17. Children s pony is an unrecognized division and all ponies are eligible. All horses on the showgrounds must be registered at the show office and have current Coggins test. 20. Long stirrup is open to beginner riders who are 13 years and over. GENERAL INFORMATION CONDITION OF ENTRY. Participants realize and accept the inherent risks of equine activities. Every horse entered for competition will be under the control of the Horse Show Management, but the Horse Show Management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Horse Show, its Directors and Employees, the Management and the Facility harmless for any loss or accident to his horse, horses, or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire, or otherwise. MANAGEMENT reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to or arising out of an incident at the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by Management, and their decision is final. Management reserves to itself the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or cancel entries; disqualify riders or exhibitors; prohibit exhibition or entries; cancel or combine classes, or to reschedule classes; to change rings or rotate judges; and to change specifications in jumper classes. MEASUREMENT. Ponies must present USEF card or be measured before showing. ORDER. Management may designate a posted order of go, use THE ONE MINUTE RULE, use a "dotted line," and/or change the ring schedule. DISCOURTESY to an official by any owner, rider, trainer, or groom will disqualify horses with which they are associated and fees are forfeited.
