It is easy for your group to visit Rays Splash Planet; the enclosed packet will present you with all the information necessary to schedule a trip to Ray s. Please read all the provided information closely as this will help you understand some of our expectations during your visit to Ray s Splash Planet! Everything you need to schedule your group in advance is found in this packet. Please keep in mind that space is reserved on a first come first serve basis. All group requests will be answered within one week of receiving the form, so please be patient. The following items are enclosed in this packet: 1) Group Rates 2) Group Policies and Procedures 3) Group Request Form 4) Ray s Splash Planet Driving Directions Please keep in mind that in order to qualify for a Ray s Splash Planet Group Rate staff and chaperons must to understand and abide by all rules and safety guidelines laid out in this packet. Walk-In Groups are welcome to come and swim as the general public and must pay the current public rate for swim pass admission. Non Profit Groups may apply & schedule for a Group Discount. Applications must be filled out and returned at least ONE WEEK in advance. SUBMITTING A GROUP REQUEST APPLICATION FORM This packet is for Group Discount Requests between Monday, August 29, 2015 Wednesday, May 31, 2016. We recommend applying for a group discount 4-6 weeks in advance (especially for competitive dates i.e. no school days, holidays and weekends). All groups are confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. To Qualify for a Group Discount: 1. Must be a non-profit organization (Example: Churches, Schools, etc) 2. Must read, understand, agree to, and sign off on the group policies and adult chaperone requirements. 3. Must limit visit to 2 hour block. 4. The Application Form must be completed, signed, submitted and then approved via a written confirmation letter. Applications can be faxed (Fax # 704-333-8515), mailed, e-mailed or dropped off at the Ray s Splash Planet (RSP). Groups are scheduled in pre-determined 2hr blocks during the School Year. Variations of group times must be approved in advance. RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE COMPLETED REQUEST FORM. Completion of this form does not guarantee availability. You will receive communication from staff within one week of your application being received. In the event that your requested date or time is unavailable, you can negotiate an alternative date or time. ARRIVAL & PAYMENT Groups must pay prior to entering the water park. We accept checks, cash and credit cards. (Visa or Master Card). Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation has a No Refund Policy Check must be written out for the number of patrons admitted to the Water Park. Your Confirmation Letter will state number of children included in your reservation. Public rates will apply to children exceeding the predetermined reservation number. All children must be paid for prior to entering water park. If child is not swimming, a dry ticket must be purchased before entering the water park.

GROUP SWIM POLICIES Fall, Winter & Spring 2016-20174 SWIMMING The Mecklenburg County Health Department requires that all swimmers must wear an actual swimsuit. (khaki/jeans shorts and t-shirts are not considered appropriate swim wear) UPON ARRIVAL: Groups will line up children OUTSIDE weather permitting for an official count, banding, and rule statements. Staff Leader will enter Main Entrance, check in, and pay at the Help Desk. Please ensure that all swimmers shower prior to entering the water park. Showers are located in locker rooms and on the pool deck. All groups are scheduled specifically for the water park. Fitness Center access is not included. Separate fees will apply for usage. If thunder or lightning occurs, the water park will close for 30 minutes from the last strike. Receipts can be redeemed for Rain Checks ONLY if the Splash Park closes longer than 1 hour. The Splash Park will close for at least 30 minutes after cleaning in the event of vomit or defecation. Food and/or Drinks other than water are not permitted inside the water park. RULES OF INTREST Lifeguards are here to enforce rules and to keep all children safe. Please help them do their jobs and watch your children closely. IMPORTANT RULE TO NOTE: No person under 48 Will be allowed to ride the Blue Comet water slide IMPORTANT RULE TO NOTE: Riders under 48 you must wear a lifejacket in the Lazy River. All groups are scheduled in the Splash Park. The Fitness Center is not available for use by chaperones or children. If it is lightning/thunder, the pool will close for 30 minutes after the last strike or thunder roar. The Splash Park will close at least 30 minutes, for cleaning, in the event of vomit or defecation in the pool. Swim time will be extended or rescheduled ONLY if the pool is closed longer than one hour during your scheduled time slot due to weather or sickness. REQUIRED ADULT CHAPERONES Required adult chaperones for swim groups must be 18 yrs or older, in swim suits and in the water at all times! For children 6 years and older the adult to child ratio in the water is 1:10 (ie: 11 children in the water = 2 adults in the water.) For children 5 years and under the adult to child ratio in the water is 1:6 (ie: 7 children in the water = 2 adults in the water.) LOCKER ROOMS Men, Women, and Family Locker rooms are available. Do not leave any personal items in the lockers. Take all items onto the pool deck. This enables someone from your group to keep a close eye on all belongings. Bins are available on the pool deck. RSP is not responsible for lost or stolen items. All children must be accompanied by an adult through the locker rooms. Children 6 yrs or older must use same gender locker room or family locker room. LOBBY No Wet bodies allowed in the lobby or hallways! Everyone must be dried off completely in shirt and shoes in lobby area. Please ask your chaperones to keep children quiet when in the lobby we are trying to better serve all of our patrons. FOOD POLICIES Outside food is not permitted inside the facility (no bag lunches or coolers). We have a concession stand on site, which serves a variety of food and drinks (hours of operation vary so call for details). Food Options: 1) We suggest scheduling swim time before or after lunch and doing lunch elsewhere. 2) We have an outdoor picnic area with oversized umbrellas, tables and benches. This area is open for public use during business hours. This area is not reservable, it is first come, first serve and unfortunately rain cover is not guaranteed. Use Outdoor picnic tables at your own risk. 3) We have two classrooms available for rent in the event that you would like to have lunch on site. Outside food is permitted with a classroom rental. The room rental rate is $31/hour (medium classroom that seats 30 youth) and $20/hour (small classroom that seats 20 youth). Classroom is not available on weekends due to birthday party reservations.

The designated development area for the facility is located on the western end of the school campus with a connection to the existing school gymnasium.
