NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Level Of Play Division Of Play: 5 th /6 th and 7 th /8 th Grade Youth Lacrosse: 1. NTYLL will adopt prevailing USL rules governing Level A Play for all 5 th through 8 th grade play, and all games will be officiated to allow Modified Checking. 2. Coaches cannot choose the checking rules by which a game will be called, even by mutual consent referees will only call game in accordance with Level A Rules Of Play. Division Of Play: 3 rd /4 th Grade Bantam Lacrosse: 1. NTYLL will adopt prevailing USL rules governing Level C Play for 3 rd /4 th grade Bantam play. 2. No checking will be allowed.

NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Field Specifications Bantam Field Field Markings & Shot Blockers: 1. All programs should strive to comply with Level C field should strive to specifications, as prescribed by US Lacrosse, whenever possible. 2. When an officially marked 50 yard field is unavailable for bantam play, it is permitted to mark off one or both 8m arcs with temporary field markers, as described below: a) Markers must be flush to the grass and should not posesafety pose safety hazard by projecting upward. SHOT BLOCKER: All Bantam teams that elect to use a shot l h blocker should only use the Warrior Monster Lacrosse Goal Shooting Target model for consistency of play. a) When a shot blocker is in use, the official will signal that a goal has been scored once the ball has come to rest on grass and has completely crossed the marked goal line. b) When shot blocker is in use, no player may enter goal circle to retrieve a ball until the ball has come to rest inside the goal circle and official has instructed closest defensive player to enter the goal circle. Youth Lacrosse Improperly Marked Fields: p 1. Game cancellations due to improperly marked fields should be avoided at all costs. 2. Referees who arrive at a field and find it improperly marked, should work closely with Home Team Site Administrator to identify suitable options for continuing with play, without compromising the safety of the players. safety of players. 3. NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Team And Field Administration Team Uniforms: 1. Each Home Team must be prepared to play in an alternate uniform color from Visiting Team. Each team may need to have two uniform options, or a single reversible jersey/pinnie. a) CHOICE ONE: Two different contrasting jerseys or pinnies b) CHOICE TWO: One reversible, two colored pinnie. 2. All uniforms and pinnies should be numbered the exception would be a sheer pinnie worn atop a numbered jersey, where the jersey number remains clearly visible through the pinnie. 3. In case of a color conflict, the Home Team must be prepared to wear an alternate jersey color, and/or wear pinnies, if required. 4. If Home Team is unprepared to wear a contrasting uniform color, p the referee will give the coach of the Home Team a YELLOW CARD for Misconduct and the Visiting Team will be granted a free position on the opening draw. Official Sideline And Table Rules: 1. Each Home Team must supply a Sideline/Site Manager who may mustsupply a may (or may not) also work the scoring table. NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Duration Of Play Game Clock and Timeouts: 1. All games will be administered with Running Time. 2. Tournament Play: a) Clock for tournament play will be governed by tournament specific rules and will supersede any NTYLL Rule Waivers. 3. Regular Season Bantam 3 rd /4 th Play: a) 4 x 10 minute quarters w/ 3 minutes between quarters. b) Stop clock on every whistle in last minute of each quarter. 4. Regular Season 5 th /6 th Play and 7 th /8 th Play: a) 2 x 25 minute halves w/ 5 minutes between halves. b) Stop clock on every whistle in last 2 minutes of each half. 5. Timeouts: a) Each team will have two (2) timeouts per game b) Each timeout will usually stop the clock for 2 minutes, but official may choose to run the clock to ensure game finishes within a scheduled time frame. c) Players must return to field after 1 minute 45 seconds, and a minor foul will be called if team is not ready to start a if is not ready to start after 2 minutes. d) Timeouts may be called after a goal has been scored or during a dead ball situation by the team in possession. In the case of a timeout during a dead ball situation, players must leave their crosses on the field and return to that position following the timeout. i th t NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Fouls Clarification Of Free Position During Bantam Play: 1. NTYLL bantam play will follow USL Youth Rules with respect to the administration of a Free Position. 2. Ball carrier will be awarded a free position following a major foul in the CSA, and will be permitted to shoot directly on goal.

NTYLL RULE WAIVER: One Pass Rule Waiver 1. In 7 th /8 th Youth Play, there will NOT be a One Pass Rule enforced. 2. For 3 rd /4 th Bantam Play and 5 th /6 th Youth Play, upon each and every change of possession that DOES NOT occur within the offensive end of the player gaining possession, each team must first make one pass prior to taking a shot on goal. 3. Definition of OFFENSIVE END: a) For 5 th /6 th Youth Play, a change of possession in the offensive end is defined as any ball recovered between the opponent s end line and the closest restraining line. b) For 3 rd /4 th Bantam Play, a change of possession in the offensive end is defined as any ball recovered inside the 8m arc nearest opponent s goal. 4. Definition of CHANGE OF POSSESSION: a) Any possession following a Draw. b) Possession change following a Ground Ball Recovery. c) Possession change following an Intercepted Pass/Shot. d) After any Goalie Clearing pass. e) Possessionchange Possession change following referee whistle and restart. followingreferee whistleandrestart. 5. Definition of a PASS: a) For 3 rd /4 th and 5 th /6 th, a pass is defined as a throw travelling more than 1m intended to reach another teammate. b) A pass does not require a corresponding catch, but must land within 4m of the intended receiver. c) If a dropped pass is first recovered by the initial passer, the pass first recovered the initial passer the requirements of the One Pass Rule are not satisfied. 6. If shot is taken before the One Pass Rule is satisfied, whether or not a goal is scored, official will whistle and follow the penalty administration for an illegal shot. 7. If a team is trailing by 4 or more goals, and is given a free position at midfield at the draw, the trailing team must still satisfy the One the draw the trailingteam muststillsatisfythe Pass Rule as described.

USE OF A DEPUTY: In a situation where a Deputy advances the ball from inside the goal circle and attempts a pass while grounded outside the goal circle, the One Pass Rule will be satisfied. NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Referee Assignment Waiver 1. Subject to availability of officials, there should be two (2) referees assignedto assigned to all NTYLL Girlsall Girls lacrosse games. lacrossegames a) This will include all Bantam 3rd/4 th games, as well as Youth 5 th /6 th and 7 th /8 th grade games. b) If there is a shortage of referees, available referees will be first assigned to Youth games before a second referee is assigned to a Bantam game. 2. Each team will be responsible for paying for one (1) referee per pa ing one referee per game in accordance with NTYLL officiating fee structure. 3. All referees are to be trained and certified through NTWLOA, recognized US Lacrosse umpiring board and WDOC affiliate.

NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Registration & Certification 1. All teams should be registered and current with NTYLL. 2. All coaches and players should be: a) Registered and current with US Lacrosse b) Registered and current with NTYLL 3. All head coaches should be working actively toward Level One USL Coaching Certification: a) Complete USL Level One on line education and test b) Complete Positive Coaching Alliance certification c) Complete USL Level One practical training session 4. Individuals may petition Friends Of North Texas Lacrosse to help finance certification and education requirements. 5. All program should certify that all registered adults have passed g p the requisite Background Checks. If a program cannot certify that a background check has been completed, and adult is NOT a Level One Certified USL Coach, NTYLL may require a background check to be performed through US Lacrosse. NTYLL RULE WAIVER: Adult Registration 1. Maximum of three (3) registered adults on each player sideline registered adults on each sideline (not including scorer s table). The following individuals are acceptable: Head Coach (1); Assistant Coaches (1 or 2); Team Manager/Trainer (0 or 1) 2. If more than 3 adults are on a sideline, NTWLOA official may inquire if adults are authorized and have been properly registered. Official will report non compliance to NTYLL report compliance to Director who will follow up with Program Director. Referees are required to take no further action at game site. 3. NTYLL may choose to provide badges to all registered adults.
