MARIACHI After a difficult and disappointing field show season, the Viking Marching Band & Auxiliary is back on top for the parade season as we, along with our AWESOME NJROTC, take to the streets of our community to represent that Viking pride to the entire City of Oxnard! (...and eat some really good tamales at the Tamale Festival). I thought you might enjoy some pics of your First Place Drum Major, Jonah Tuazon, your First Place NJROTC Color Guard and Drill Teams, and your First Place High School Band & Auxiliary (beating out OHS, CIHS, and PHS with an overall score of 94.3. Second place Pacifica scored an 89.8). If you LOVE your band, auxiliary, and NJROTC kids, let 'em know when you see them...and wish 'em luck at the Camarillo Christmas Parade competition next weekend (Saturday, Dec. 10 @ 10:00 am along Las Posas and Carmen Drive in Camarillo).
