An indoor 8 lane 50-meter pool with a constant depth of 7 feet.non-turbulent lane lines. Paragon starting blocks. Daktronics Timing System with new electronic scoreboard of both pool. A six-lane 25-yard pool next to 50- meter pool for warm-up/warm-down throughout the meet. The competition pool has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4). Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. All meet directors, referees, starters, and stroke and turn judges, serving in an official capacity must be members of USA Swimming. All coaches and officials MUST constantly display their current USA Swimming credential or be prepared to present their USA Swimming ID card as proof of their registration to the Meet Director or designee at any time. The meet referee reserves the right to ask for coach credential display and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer valid or current.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not allowed. It is understood and agreed that USA Swimming and Louisiana Swimming, Inc. shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. ENTRY LIMIT Any swimmer in the prelim/final sessions is limited to 3 events per day plus relays, with a maximum of 7 individual events for the meet. Any swimmer participating in the afternoon (strictly timed finals) sessions is limited to 3 events per day plus relays, with a maximum of 8 individual events for the meet. Meet management reserves the right to limit meet size to comply with Louisiana Swimming, Inc. s four-hour rule. Every effort will be made to accommodate all entries submitted. If entries are limited, meet management will use the criteria of first received basis. All entries received after this time will be promptly returned. All teams will be notified of any such limitations or changes. Meet may be limited to the first 500 swimmers, or as necessary to insure that timelines are manageable. Scratching one event to enter another event will be strictly prohibited after the psych sheet has been posted. Eligibility Only USA Swimming registered athletes are eligible to compete. No entrant will be permitted to compete unless the entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302. Age as of June 17, 2016 determines age for entire meet. LATE ENTRIES Late entries are limited to open lanes. No extra heats will be created. Late entries, if accepted, will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, and in the meet referee s discretion, until 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. Once the session has started NO late entries will be accepted for that session. Late entries will only be accepted with fees paid by cash or check at the time of entry at the clerk of course. $10 per individual event; $16 per relay No late entries can be accepted in events in which the numbers of participants are limited! No late entries are allowed if you have to scratch another event to remain within the entry limit. ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT LATE ENTRIES SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO MEET REFEREE, WHOSE DECISION WILL BE FINAL. Psych sheets will be posted at www.swimtaq.com on or before June 15th, 2016. WARM UP PROCEDURE Coaches must be on deck to supervise their team during warm-up! Deck Referee and Safety Marshals have complete authority over warm-up procedures at all times. All Final s warm ups will be OPEN warm up. The last 15 mins of OPEN warm up lanes 2&7 will be dive lanes and lanes 1&8 will be pace lanes. All 12 &U will be scheduled warmups. SCORING & AWARDS Individual events will be scored: 20 17 16 15 14 13 12 11 for 1st 8th place, 9 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 for 9th 16th place. Relays are scored double. Individual special awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each individual event and the 1st place in relay events. Ribbons for 4th-8th place in each individual event and 2nd and 3rd place in relay events. The 1500 & 800 free will be scored 13-14, 15&Over. TIMERS Timers will be the responsibility of all teams entered in the meet. Timing assignments will be assigned based on approximate number of entries per team per session. Your team assignments will be posted on our website www.swimtaq.com on the Wednesday before the meet. For the 1500 & 800 Free, each entrant must provide timers and a lap counter. MEETING SCHEDULE Officials Meetings: 30 minutes before the start of each session. Coaches Meetings: Friday 15 minutes before start of session, Saturday, and Sunday, as needed. OFFICIALS Tiger Aquatics would appreciate help officiating from visiting teams. Please contact our meet referee, Gary Smith if you would like to officiate. As a matter of USA Swimming insurance coverage, please bring your official s certification card with you.
FACILITY RULES LSU permits no taping to the walls of any kind. Banners may be hung from wood beams. NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED IN THE NATATORIUM. Please note that all diving apparatus present on deck is the property of LSU Swimming and Diving and is completely off limits to everyone participating in the meet. This is due to both insurance issues and the request of LSU Diving. Each team is responsible for cleaning up their area. Please place all trash in receptacles provided. There is absolutely no parking in the grass field between the front of the Natatorium and Nicholson Drive. Parking is available by the tennis courts and in front of track field. If there is any question about where you may park please ask the meet administration. SWIMSTORE Natal Swim Shop will be available throughout the meet with swimsuits, shirts, caps, goggles, etc. HEAT SHEETS & FINAL RESULTS Heat sheets will be available ONLINE ONLY (print at home). One set of complete results mailed to each participating club. We will be using meet mobile for results. CONCESSIONS & HOSPITALITY Concessions will be available. Hospitality will be open for coaches and officials only.
