The past month has seen a lot of exciting changes and developments at both our camps and in our new Nairobi office that we would like to share with you. Despite the local excitement faced in anticipation of the elections, we are happy to report that our office in Nairobi is busy and moving forward at full speed. For this reason, we have added an additional member to our team. So, it is a pleasure to be able to introduce to you all Fatima Salim. With a wealth of experience in the tourism scene, Fatima, who was previously with The Safari and Conservation Company, will now be a key figure within our Saruni sales and reservations team. Saruni Samburu s New Oasis We have now completed and opened our NEW Samburu Swimming pool, the second pool of the lodge. An oasis of cool clear fresh water suspended in the most spectacular spot with a 360-degree view of Kalama conservancy. Saruni News & Views The Guides Guide Professional Tanzania-based guide Pietro Luraschi has been at Saruni Mara training our guides. Pietro s passion for Africa has taken him to the highest level of professional guiding with a Level 3 qualification from FGASA the most accredited association of safari guides in Africa. With this passion and experience Pietro is providing our guides with a vast amount of invaluable knowledge that covers all of the aspects of their guiding and, in turn, has advanced further the guiding experience at Saruni. Having spent much of is youth on safari, Marcus has a profound understanding of Kenya's cultures, wildlife and languages which is strengthened by his degree in Environmental Management. Marcus has returned to his roots and rekindled his passion for Kenya.
