So we ask that our members please inquire with us before purchasing golf products elsewhere. And help support your club as we continue to improve our retail operations. I look forward to a great season and the opportunity to provide you with excellent service. If there is anything that our golf staff or I can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact us. And this year we have added more social activities including: Friday night hor d oeuvers, Saturday Night Dinner, and an Awards Buffet lunch. HANdIcAP ELIGIBILITy REquIREMENTS To play in any Major Tournament, each player must have a Certifiable Current Handicap. If a certifiable handicap is not in effect, the member will be allowed to play with a Tournament Handicap assigned by the Tournament and Handicap Committees. NOTE: For the two-day MemberMember tournament and the Member-Guest tournament the recommended reduction by the USGA of an additional 10% for each player will be applied for teams whose handicaps differ by more than 8 shots (after allowance). From the USGA Handicap Manual: It is recommended that the committee considers it a condition of four-ball stroke play competitions that the Course Handicap (after allowance) of the members of a side may not differ by more than eight strokes. A side with a large difference has an advantage over a side with a small Course Handicap difference. If a difference of more than eight strokes cannot be avoided, it is suggested that an additional 10 percent reduction be applied to the Course Handicap of each member of the advantaged side. GUEST HANdICAP REqUIREMENTS: To be eligible to participate in a Coosaw Creek Tournament, each guest must have a USGA Handicap issued by a Golf Club or Association acceptable to the committees. The name and phone number of the club must be provided for verification purposes. If a certifiable handicap is not in effect, the guest will be allowed to play with a Tournament Handicap assigned by the Tournament and Handicap Committees. ALL PLAyERS MuST REGISTER IN THE GoLF SHoP PRIoR To STARTING PLAy. Any players found on the course without checking in will be charged the full golf rate for a first offense. PRAcTIcE RANGE Please note: The driving range will close at 4:30pm on Sundays & Thursdays and open at 8:30am on Mondays and Fridays to accommodate weekly maintenance. The Member s practice tee has been closed recently due to maintenance for improvement. Please respect the closure of this tee from time to time so that our crew can complete necessary maintenance. Whenever the member s tee is closed, we will attempt to have an area for hitting off of grass, as weather permits. During the winter, the all access section of the range will be mats only during the week. The grass will be used on weekends, weather permitting. This will help maintain the quality of the turf during the slower growing season. Also, we would like to remind our members that range balls and bags are NOT to be removed from the driving range. If you have any bags or balls in your cars, golf carts, or garage, we ask that you please return them to the driving range so we can keep them in circulation for the enjoyment of all members and guests. Thanks! MAdISoN S INSTRucTIoNAL corner PERFEcT your PoSTuRE Getting yourself into the correct posture is very important. When your body is angled properly at the start, you have the foundation for a repeating swing. It allows you to coil around a constant axis and swing the club up and down on the proper track. The key to a good setup is to tilt toward the ball from your hip joints, not your waist. The difference is subtle, but bending from the waist causes the back to get rounded and it s tough to make a good swing from this un-athletic position. For better posture, try this: Stand tall in front of a mirror, tuck your fingertips into the joints at the front of your hips, and tip your upper body forward as you push your hips and backside out behind you. Keep your shoulder blades flat, and add a little flex to your knees. You should feel athletic and relaxed. Try to re-create this hiphinged position when you play. You ll look like a pro, and hit it more like one. Also try to keep yourself in that posture throughout the whole swing.

Facility Use Guidelines As summer approaches Coosaw Creek Country Club s facility use will increase especially with our ample amenities including the Swimming Pool and Pavilion, Tennis Courts, Golf Course, Basketball Court and Clubhouse. We encourage all of our members to take advantage of the various fun activities and facilities available to them. To assure a safe and enjoyable and safe experience for all it is important to note the following guidelines: 18 HoLE PAR 71 ARTHuR HILLS championship GoLF course winds through beautiful low country wooded wetlands surrounded by community homes. Golf Pro Shop hours are 7AM-7PM everyday. During golf play hours of 7AM to dusk only Pro Shop authorized golfers and the Club maintenance staff are allowed on the course and cart paths. Personal golf carts, skate boards or other personal motorized vehicles are not permitted on the course or cart paths at anytime. Golfers are expected to dress appropriately. Men must wear collared shirts (sorry-no denim allowed on the Golf Course). For women shirts without collars must have sleeves, and shirts without sleeves must have collars. Soft spikes are required. Dog walkers, permitted before or after golf hours, must carry and use pooper scoopers and keep pets off of tees, fairways, greens and bunkers. The course is open for public play daily, but all play must be approved by the proshop prior to beginning on the course. Any unapproved play, practice or abuse observed on the course may result in suspension of Club privileges and/or fines. GoLF PRAcTIcE FAcILITy The Practice Areas are open during normal Golf Course hours except for posted regularly scheduled maintenance times. Practice areas include the Driving Range, Chipping Green, Practice Sand Bunker, Putting Green and teaching area. Teaching is provided exclusively by the Coosaw Creek Professional Golf Staff. All practice must be approved by the Pro Shop staff. Practice balls may be picked up (Members) or purchased in the Pro Shop. Range balls and bags are the property of Coosaw Creek Country Club and shall not be removed from club property. Proper Attire is the same as for the Golf Course. 11 coosaw creek country clubhouse is Coosaw Creek s community center featuring full service dining, Bar, Meeting Rooms and Pro Shop. PLAyGRouNd A sand filled area equipped with swings, slides and other playground equipment is available and located next to the Pool Pavilion For safety any child under 9 years old must be supervised by an adult. Playground closes at 9:00 PM PoNdS Coosaw Creek s beautiful ponds have been stocked with fish - but beware of snakes, alligators and other wildlife. The course ponds are part of a larger low country wooded wetland area. Please respect this incredible asset and avoid contaminating it with any foreign materials or liquids. Fishing is allowed only from the bank and only in designated areas. These areas have been selected to ensure that people fishing are not in the normal flight of golf balls and that ponds can be approached without crossing the course or using the cart paths. They are located: BEHIND THE PLAYGROUND Approach from McChune Court HOLE 15 Approach from Arthur Hills Circle HOLE 16 Approach from Club Course Drive HOLE 17 Approach from Power Line Break Fish in course ponds are for catch and release and not for consumption a major disappointment to our chef! These guidelines are established to ensure a positive experience for all Members and guests who use the facilities. Enforcement is the responsibility of all members and staff of the Club. A polite reminder is usually sufficient, but should it become necessary to report any violation please call the Pro- Shop or the Club General Manager. We hope that you enjoy these excellent facilities your Club has to offer. If you have any questions or comments regarding these guidelines or your experience, please feel free to contact us directly at the club, 767-9000. Thank you, FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ATTENTION ALL AUTOMATIC CHARGE CARD MEMBERS 16 The Administrative Office has completed the installation of a web-based Accounts Receivable System that is compatible with the Point of Sale System currently used for all transactions at the Club. The Integrated Business System s (IBS) EZ Pay software allows the club to instantaneously process account balances to member s credit cards with the push of a button. This system replaces the Auto Charge program the Club has previously utilized. The Auto Charge process required a staff member to manually make key stroke entries for each member enrolled in the program. This was considerably time consuming as there are now over 250 members enrolled in the program. This EZ Pay system reduces the processing time required for manually charging each credit card, alleviates the potential for security breaches with credit cards and provides accounting reports for financial reconciliation. Members will continue to receive their normal monthly statements. The Club went live in March with automatic payments of over 200 Club accounts with great success. There were just a handful of declined cards to try to obtain updated information from the members. THE BoTToM LINE All Members who have requested Auto-Pay will have their statement balance PAID on or around the 20th of each month with their Credit card on file. System generated emails will go out with either confirmations of payments made OR a notice that the card was declined for some reason. In that situation, please contact Karen with any updated credit card information. If you have any questions concerning the EZ Pay System or would like to be added to this service, please direct them to Karen Vaughn at 767-9000 ext 207 or Mike Scioli at ext 201.
