Team members must be dressed appropriately and ready to begin practice on time. 2. Arriving late or leaving early from practice may result in sitting out of game day material due to the fact that safety comes first, if student athletes are not able to practice what they perform, accidents are more likely to happen. Since we must have a full team to effectively practice, you are encouraged to limit doctor s appointments and other obligations that absolutely cannot be scheduled at any other time. These excused absences must be prearranged with your coach. Arriving late to a game may result in sitting out of a portion of the game. 3. For every unexcused absence from a practice or mandatory event, a game will be missed. Two unexcused absences will result in permanent dismissal from the team. Some examples of an excused absence from a game or competition would be a funeral, a wedding, or illness. 4. If for any reason you will be absent or late for a game or competition, notify your coach immediately. 5. Athletes are responsible for the memorization of all game and competition material. Sitting out of a game may occur if an athlete can not properly memorize material. 6. Appearance and attitude for school, games, and competitions should be a top priority. No jewelry, personal clothing items, or anything else that might detract from an excellent team appearance will be tolerated. Uniforms must be clean and repairs made. Shoes, socks, and bodysuits must be clean and white. Excessive make-up or untidy hair is not acceptable. 7. Uniforms are owned by the Rochester Community Schools and must be well maintained by each athlete. If lost or damaged, the cost of a new uniform must be paid by the athlete to whom it was last issued. 8. Uniforms are not to be worn anywhere other than to school on game days, to games and competitions, or for team appearances, nor should they be worn by anyone other than the athletes to whom the uniforms were issued. 9.
