Racing Info Welcome to the 2018 Aldeburgh Junior & Youth Regatta, open to all sailors under the age of 24 on 1st January 2019 sponsored by Fleets There will be a Morning Series and an Afternoon Series of racing. Subject to entries, there will be class starts for the Laser, Feva, Tera and Optimist fleets in the morning and afternoon, and a class start for Lapwings in the afternoon. RS200s will sail in the Fast (Youth) Handicap fleet. Handicap starts will be arranged for all other slower dinghies. There will be coached racing for the Regatta fleet, which will include beginner Optimists. These races are aimed at (but not exclusive to) young sailors who have taken part in one of AYC s Summer Sailing Courses or who are new to racing; they offer an excellent learning opportunity for novice racers. Boat Hire AYC has a number of boats available to hire to AYC members on a first-come first-served basis. The fleet includes RS Tera, Laser 4.7, RS Feva and RS Quest.
