Dear Friends of the Gus Brown Golf Classic, This year, Thursday, August 14, 2014 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Annual Gus Brown Golf Classic. Our golf tournament will again be held at the beautiful Oshawa Golf & Country Club. Peter Butler has once again welcomed our tournament to the esteemed Golf Course and we are once again looking forward to a fantastic day of Golf. With your help, we raised a total of $90,000 for the Lakeridge Health Foundation on August 8, 2013. To date, our Golf Classic has raised $720,000 for the community with the majority of the proceeds going to the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer and the Lakeridge Health Foundation as other local Charities. The proceeds of the 2013 Golf Classic were directed towards the purchase of Dialysis machines for both the Oshawa Hospital as well as the Whitby Hospital. We are again looking for support from our all of business partners, friends, family and neighbours to make this, the 2014 20th Gus Brown Golf Classic the most successful tournament that we have ever organized. This year s tournament will again consist of a registration gift, a hot delicious lunch, a great round of golf filled with on course challenges including the longest drive, closest to the pin, a putting contest, chipping contest, draws, raffles and many more activities, a cocktail reception, a fantastic dinner and both live and silent auctions. Lakeridge Health Foundation is grateful to the Gus Brown Team for their generous and continued support of Lakeridge Health. In the past, the proceeds from this tournament have benefitted the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre and high priority equipment needs at Lakeridge Health including dialysis machines and a new CT Scanner as well as the Buy a Bed Campaign for Lakeridge Health Whitby.
