Prep Area Convention Centre Bring your own bands etc. to pump up if required. Prestigious venues such as this must be treated as if you are competing in your own lounge room. Any damage from tanning products will results in charges of thousands for dollars for repair. ICN insist your tan be applied prior to arriving at the venue, so only a final touch up is required. If you are tanning in your room also care and protect all the hotel property. Bring your own sheets, towels and pillow case to use. Clean tan off all surfaces immediately. Baby wipes are awesome to carry with you to clean anything immediately. After you compete its ideal to swim in the warm sea water to remove a lot of your tan and before you shower in your room. We also discourage the use of transient products like Dream Tan. Competing at this venue has three compulsory conditions: 1. Competitors must bring a towel (or similar) to stand on when they are applying any tan/oil. So not sit directly on toilet seats etc. 2. Competitors must be fully clothed before sitting on chairs in the venue. 3. Do not touch or lean on any surface backstage. Each tan mark is a $200 repaint fee. All Athletes MUST follow these instructions and rules. 07. Entries Fees Your Entry fee can be paid online at www.icompetenatural between 21 st and 23 rd Octover. Go to PAY under My Event. Ms Runway is open to all female division types (Figure, Fitness, Sports and Bikini) This will be judged like Angels except competitors wear a long evening gown style of dress. The Ms Runway image is about looking fit and healthy in a glamorous dress. While this needs a nice shape, it also includes other factors such as poise, confidence, stage craft, glamour, the dress, and having a sense of fun are all vital. 10.NATLYMPIA ipro Divisions ICN is offering 7 Professional divisions. 1. 15. Travelling Advice for International Competitors Minimum time required to recover from the effects of jet lag is one hour for every hour you spend travelling. Try to arrive in the afternoon or evening so you can sleep and wake at the correct time. When you board the plane in your Country, adjust your watch to the time in Bali, Indonesia, and eat according to the time here. Same applies to sleep. Drink plenty of water. Eat Lightly. When booking your airline ticket, ask for meals to suit your dietary requirements. You are also able take your own food on the plane with your carry-on luggage. Also, bring some packaged food in your suitcase, so you can survive for several meals without the stress of finding bodybuilding food immediately upon arriving. Note: If you bring supplements, keep them in original containers in case custom officials want to inspect your "pills and white powder". If you are tanning in the hotel, bring your own sheets and pillow case to sleep in the bed. Otherwise, you can get away with just a pillowcase and old "jammies" to sleep in. Hotels usually pass-out when they see the tanning stains left behind by bodybuilders and they will charge you an outrageous cleaning fee. Don't be critical of your contest condition as you can expect to be 20% off your local contest condition due to the rigours of travel however, everyone is similarly handicapped. That is why I say those who win international events are those who travel best and do not get upset by unexpected situations. Try and plan so you can be very self-reliant. One important message about competing internationally hope for the best and prepare for the worst. The way an event is run in another country may vary from what you expect. We are also promoting a contest in a new country and the promoters will be facing unexpected challenges and problems themselves. So be flexible in your mind and last minute preparation. However, rest assured the 2017 NATLYMPIAM will be an amazing experience for everyone. The ICN Promoters have run many international events and have dedicated 12 months into the planning of this event, so we have prepared as diligently as competitors! Changing Money Bali airport will be as good, if not better exchange rate than you will get at home. However, there is a bank only 8 minutes walk from the Harris Hotel that will give you a better rate. There is also an ATM Machine at Rip Curl which is only 4 mins walk from the hotel 16. How to travel from Ngurah Rai Airport to your Hotel The hotel is only approx. 7km from the airport around 20 minutes. As you exit the airport you will see the taxi stand. The taxi stand is next to the information desk after you walk through the little Dufry shopping arcade. You are able to get a taxi from there. You should pay no more than 200,000rp. 17. Local Gym Rai Fitness is located at the Harris Hotel and free entry is available with your hotel accommodation. The gym is fully equipped with Male and Female saunas, to use as much as you like. 18. ICN After Party Although the venue is yet to be advised, you can be sure that it will be a fantastic environment to catch up with fellow competitors in a social and fun atmosphere. Start time will be 7pm to allow officials and competitors time to clean up beforehand. It will be a fantastic opportunity to relax and enjoy a night of celebration.
19. Helpful Hints When using taxi s get them to turn the meter on. If they refuse, simply hop out and hail another. There are so many taxi that will be wanting your business. There will be many porters at the airport waiting to prey on you. Do not let them take your bags as they will charge ridiculous prices to put these in the boot of the taxi. Keep hold of your own bags. If someone stops you in the street and wants to fill out a survey OR tries to give you a card saying you can win, and saying not selling it s free. Politely say no thank you. Otherwise you will end up in a 3 hour tour of a hotel and seminar which at the end they will want to try and sell you timeshare! Don t drink the tap water AT ALL! Always use bottled water even for brushing teeth. When bartering, work on at least 50% off. They have become a little cheeky when it comes to prices and sometimes they give a very ridiculous price. Always go low, if they laugh at you then the price is too low and work up from there. It you don t think it is a cheap price, then you are paying too much!! Money Changers: Please be careful and most are there to rip you off. They are extremely good at what they do and you won t even know this is happening to you. The 100,000rp note (approx AU$10) and the 10,000rp note (approx. AU$1.00) are very similar so please familiarise yourself with both so you do not get caught out. Use trusted money changers like Central Money Exchange, BMC and FEDEX. It you see a rate that is too good to be true, guaranteed it will be. I would suggest downloading currency exchange app, I use XE currency exchange. This can be used to give you a rough idea on what things cost. I usually work on 10,000rp to $1. It makes it very easy to work out costs. ALWAYS count your money before leaving a money changer.
You will see many Offerings on the ground in Bali, please do not step on them, it is offensive to the Balinese and also bad luck. Tipping in Bali is not usually done as a rule, you will see on most things that they have added a service fee and a tax fee. If this is the case there is no need to tip. If these fees are not on the bill, then you might want to offer a tip. Massages are great and well worth getting in a few. They start from around 60,000rp (approx. $6) upwards. Clothing Boardshorts approx. 40 to 50,000rp, Singlets 30-40,000rp, Tshirts 50,000rp. Not matter what the design. They will say, Billabong, Rip Curl they cost more, but they don t! Knock off Nike shoes approx. 200,000rp. Sim Cards can be purchased at the Supermarket Carrefour, which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
