10. Events Extra: As per clause 19 of the National Junior Regulations, Under 11 events will be introduced as per Appendix 4 of the regulations. Entries Team: Each State Association may enter a maximum of four (4) players only in each of their teams, A - B - C Teams are allowed. Entry is through the Bulk Entry Form provided to states and available on the official website. President Team nominations must be made on the Bulk Entry Form - Team Entry Form. 12. Entries Individual: ALL players must enter using the separate individual entry form available from the official website or from their State Association. Entries must be returned to their State Association for collation onto the Bulk Entry Form. Individual Entry Forms will not be accepted by the host OC. 13. Eligibility - Teams: In order to be eligible to play in any team event of a National Junior Championship, a player must: - have been residing continuously (apart from any bode fide vacation or international table tennis commitment) in Australia for a period of at least 12 months prior to the commencement date of the championships; and - have been a registered member of an affiliated association for a period of at least 12 months prior to the commencement date of the Championships. 14. State/Territory Eligibility - Teams In order to be eligible to represent a particular State/Territory Association in a team event of a National Junior Championship, a player must: - have been residing continuously (apart from any bode fide vacation or international table tennis commitment) in that particular State/Territory for a period of at least 6 months prior to the commencement date of the Championships; and - have been a registered member of that particular State/Territory Association for a period of at least 6 months prior to the commencement date of the Championships. 15. Eligibility Individual Events In order to be eligible to play in any individual event of a National Junior Championship, a player must: - have been residing continuously (apart from any bode fide vacation or international table tennis commitment) in Australia for a period of at least 12 months prior to the commencement date of the championships; and - have been a registered member of an affiliated association for a period of at least 12 months prior to the commencement date of the Championships.
- have played in a team event at the same National Junior Championship (or if not played, made himself/herself available for selection by an affiliated Association or as President s player in a team event. - in order to play in a Junior event, a player must be under the relative age as at the 31 st day of December of the previous year in which the National Junior Championship is to be held E.g.: in 2018 Under 18 events player born on or after 1 st January 2000 or later Under 15 events: born on or after 1 st January 2003 Under 13 events: born on or after 1 st January 2005 16. System of Play: SINGLES - Individual: All Singles events (J3, J4, J10, J11, J17, J18.) will be conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 will be qualifying in groups of 3 players each with the top player only of each group advancing to stage 2, which will be a knockout. In both the group and knockout stage, a match will be best of 7 games. Playoffs for the Bronze Medal will be conducted. DOUBLES Individual: All Doubles Events (J5, J6, J7, J12, J13, J14, J19, J20, J21) will be a knockout event and best of 5 games. Playoffs for the Bronze Medal will be conducted. TEAM EVENTS: All team events will be a 9-match format of 9 singles all of which must be played out. All team event matches will be best of 5 games. Please refer to the National Junior Regulations, Appendices 1 & 2 for a more detailed outline of the format. 17. Reference This event will be played under TTA Junior Championship Regulations and ITTF Laws and Regulations. 18. Tentative schedule 29 th September (Saturday) Practice from TBA, Opening Ceremony & Photos at 4:00pm 30 th September to 6 th October 2018 for Competition. A detailed schedule will be provided closer to the event. 19. Managers Meeting: A Management Committee will be appointed and carry out functions in terms of TTA regulations. One of these functions is to consider any appeals against rulings of the host organisation or the referee on a question of match or tournament conduct not covered in the Laws or Regulations. A Managers Meeting is scheduled for: - TBA, Time & Venue Townsville Stadium. All Managers must be in attendance.
20. Draws: Draw will be done as soon as practical after the closing date and published on the website http://www.tabletennisnsw.org/mturner/2018ausjun/2018ausjun.html Advice will be forwarded to all states and managers after publication. 21. Closing Function: The Presentation Dinner and Disco will be held at; Townsville RSL. It will start at 6.30pm and finish at approximately 11.00pm Cost will be $TBD. 23. TTA will arrange for the winner s name or the state name to be engraved on the trophy. 24. Anti-Doping: Please be advised that this event is subject to drug testing in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) and the World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA) regulations. Hospitality: It is recommended that you check online accommodation guides for prices and locations. Travel time will need to be taken into consideration as play is scheduled to start at 9.00am daily. It is expected that the weather will be warm during the day and overnight temperatures cool. 27. Changes: Changes in players entries will be accepted until the draw is done then after that all changes will have to be approved at the Managers Meeting at the beginning of the championship. 28. Racket Control: ITTF rules regarding rackets and racket coverings will be enforced. No gluing or re-gluing of rackets is permitted in the playing venue. The ITTF Equipment Committee strongly recommends all players to make certain that new coverings are aired 72 hours before use. 29. Deadlines: Preliminary Entry Form: 30 th June 2018 Final Entry Form (Individuals): 11 th August 2018 Bulk Entry Form (States): 18 th August 2018 Changes in nominations: 7 th September 2018 30. TTA License Fee: A TTA license fee of $13.20 per player is included with the entry fees and will be payable by the host association. 31. Clothing: ITTF and TTA Clothing regulations will be enforced. The main colour of a shirt or shorts must not be white. Players should be neatly dressed, and not wear any clothing that might cause offence or bring the game into disrepute. Nominated doubles pairs from the same Association should be dressed uniformly. 32. Team Photos Will be done on Saturday 29 th September at the conclusion of the Opening Ceremony.
33. Information By entering the event, players agree to abide by all TTA Regulations for National Junior Championships and ITTF Rules and Regulations for play. All entered associations and individual players agree to be under the auspices of TTA and its agents in all matters concerning television coverage, video, internet web casting, motion picture coverage and photographic coverage of any kind. Participants release all rights or rights held by their agents or sponsors, in all matters relating to television and web casting coverage, video and motion picture coverage and photographic coverage of any kind. A participant s refusal of above listed coverage may be subject to suspension or dismissal from the competition. 34. Betting: In the context of betting participants shall not, by any manner whatsoever infringe the principal of fair play, show unsporting conduct or attempt to influence the course or result of a competition or any part thereof in a manner contrary to sporting ethics. Any violation of this principal shall be disciplined according to provisions of ITTF regulations 3.5.3.
