Gruber notched 26 points and six rebounds in the win at Wayne State and tallied 21 points and seven rebounds in a 97-90 overtime loss at Augustana. Gruber was 52.9 percent from the field (18-34) and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe (10-12) in the two games while adding three assists and two steals. South Division #3 Shaunteva Ashley G, 5-8, Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D. Roosevelt HS Augustana Ashley guided the Vikings to two wins in NSIC play over the weekend. The senior guard recorded the second double-double of her career in an 83-72 win at home over Bemidji State on Friday with 18 points and 13 assists. The 13 assists was a career high for Ashley and just one short of the school record for assists in a game. Ashley followed up that performance with all-around effort in a wild 97-90 overtime win against Minnesota Crookston on Saturday, finishing with 24 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds in the contest. Ashley finished the weekend with averages of 21.0 points, 10.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds on 48.6 percent shooting from the field. The 21 assists were ten better than the next best performance in the NSIC this past weekend. This marks the third time this season Ashely has been named NSIC South Division Player of the Week (11/17 & 11/24). Senske shot 8-of-8 from the field and added three free throws in her 32 minutes of action Averaged 15.0 points per game in 59 minutes of action on the weekend Marked her fifth consecutive game scoring in double-digits with 11 points against Wayne State Senske finished the weekend shooting 63.2 percent (12-19) from the field and went 6-of-13 from the free throw line Totaled 18 rebounds (9.0 RPG) on the weekend including her career-high 11 at Augie and one assist Leads the Beavers in rebounding (6.3 RPG) and is second on the squad in scoring with 11.8 points per game. Ranks third among the league best in field goal percentage (58.6%, 41-70) Bemidji State will be back in action Dec. 19 as it travels to rival Minnesota Crookston before the holiday break. Gruber tallied 21 points and seven rebounds against Augustana on 9-of-14 from the field. In addition, she notched 26 points and six rebounds in the win over Wayne State. Gruber was 9-of-20 from the field and 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. Gruber was 52.9 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe. She was averaging 6.3 points per game on the season coming into the weekend before coming up big in a major moments for the Golden Eagles. Especially in the absence of injured freshman Isieoma Odor. Gruber has improved her average to 10.1 points per game following her weekend performance. UMD suffered a pair of setbacks in its return to Romano Gymnasium, falling against No. 3 Northern State on Friday night before a second-half comeback fell short against MSU Moorhead on Saturday Jessica Newman (Sr. / G / 5-9 / Barnum, Minn. / Barnum H.S.) - Led the Bulldogs offensively as they went toe-to-toe with the thirdranked team of the nation and made a second half-comeback against the Dragons, averaging 17.0 points and 4.0 rebounds on the weekend Taylor Dillinger (Jr. / G / 5-8 / Houghton, Mich. / Houghton H.S.) - Posted the best game of her season on Saturday afternoon against the Dragons, falling a rebound short of a double-double with 10 points, nine boards, six steals, and five assists while shooting 40.0 percent and going a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line - The Bulldogs host St. Cloud State on Saturday to close out the season s first half. SCSU knocked off UMD 81-67 in St. Cloud on Nov. 29 earlier this season. The Huskies own a 34-26 all-time record against the Bulldogs Minnesota State Mavericks (6-3, 3-1 NSIC) www.msumavericks.com Emilee Thiesse Nebraska-Kearney 04 3rd Season 2013-14 Record: 23-6, 18-4 NSIC (2nd) Lexie Ulfers (F, 6-2 Senior, Waseca, Minn. / Waseca) - Recorded two more double-doubles this past weekend, which now makes her fourth straight double-double - On Friday in MSU s overtime win over UIU, Ulfers posted17 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks - In Saturday s loss against Winona State, Ulfers matched her numbers from the night before with another 22 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with her two assists and two blocks - For the weekend, she averaged team-highs 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds a game - Also led the team with four blocks and shot 64% (16-25) from the field - Logged 29.5 minutes a game this weekend MSU Moorhead Dragons (4-5, 3-2 NSIC) www.msumdragons.com Karla Nelson North Dakota 90 15th Season 2013-14 Record: 16-11, 12-10 NSIC (t-7th) Drew Sannes (F, 6-3, RFr. Hawley, Minn./Hawley HS) had one of the best weekends of her young Dragon career as MSUM split on the road last weekend, averaging 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds for the week while shooting.647 percent from the field. She had 13 points and nine rebounds, both career-highs, in MSUM s 79-62 loss at St. Cloud State on Friday. She followed that with 12 points and eight rebounds in MSUM s 78-69 win at Minnesota Duluth. She also had five blocks on the week. Junior guard Meghan Roehrich averaged 18.5 points and 3.5 rebounds on the weekend for MSUM to continue to lead the team in scoring. She leads MSUM in scoring at 17.3 points per game this season and has been in double figures in eight of the team s nine games this season. - The Mavericks went 1-1 this past weekend, as they beat Upper Iowa on Friday night before they fell to Winona State on Saturday night - MSU is currently 6-3 overall and stands at 3-1 in the NSIC - Up next for the Mavericks, they will travel to Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

2014-15 NSIC WOMEN S BASKETBALL NOTES Minot State Beavers (6-4, 1-4 NSIC) www.msubeavers.com Sheila Green Gerding MSU-Northern 20th Season 2013-14 Record: 19-9, 14-8 NSIC (t-5th) #50 Christina Boag (F, 6-2, Sr., Tamworth, Australia / Abbotsleigh) - Averaged a double-double on the weekend with 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds to split a pair of games - Finished with five assists, four steals and three blocked shots to go along with her points and rebounds - Reached the 500 rebound total in her career Friday night, pulling down a game-high 11 to go along with season-high 23 points in the loss to USF Northern State Wolves (10-1, 4-1 NSIC) www.northernstatewolves.com Curt Fredrickson Northern State 76 36th Season 2013-14 Record: 24-7, 17-5 NSIC (3rd) The No. 3 Northern State University Wolves split the road weekend versus Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. NSU is 10-1 on the year and 4-1 in conference play. NSU defeated Minnesota Duluth 62-46, and fell to St. Cloud State 54-62. Rachel Krogman recorded two double-doubles on the weekend averaging 12.5 points and 11 rebounds in the two games. Minot State used a great defensive effort Saturday night to end a four-game losing streak, topping SMSU 71-51 to salvage a split on the weekend - The Beavers fell 71-61 Friday at home against the University of Sioux Falls, snapping an eight-game winning streak that dated back to last season #50 Christina Boag (F, 6-2, Sr., Tamworth, Australia / Abbotsleigh) - Reached the 500 rebound total in her career Friday night, pulling down a game-high 11 to go along with 23 points in the loss to USF - Her 20 rebounds puts Boag at 514 in her career, the sixth best total in school history.
