2017-2018 Miss Cougar & Jr. Miss Cougar Pageant Sponsored by the Colleton County High School Chorus to benefit the Kermit Trevor Hudson Memorial Fund January 19, 2018 Division I - 6pm & Division II - 7pm Information The Miss Cougar and Jr. Miss Cougar Pageant is a fundraiser pageant sponsored by the CCHS Chorus to benefit the Kermit Trevor Hudson Memorial Fund. The pageant is open to students of Colleton County School District. The Jr. Miss Cougar, Division I, is open to ages 4 years 8 th grade. The Miss Cougar, Division II, will be open to Colleton County High School students. Contestants will compete in Casual Wear and Formal Wear. Division II contestants will also be required to do an interview. You will receive a crown and trophy. Money collected must be turned in at the Fee Window one week prior (January 12 th ) to the day of the pageant. Checks or money orders should be made payable to CCHS. NO COINS please.
Pageant Wear Casual wear will be anything you would wear to hang out with friends (no holey jeans). It is the contestant s opportunity to show her own personality. This is meant to be casual and fun. During formal wear contestants show elegance and poise on stage. Formal wear for 4 years - 5 th grade should be Sunday dress. Formal wear for 6 th - 8 th grades can be either Sunday dress or Cocktail style dress. Formal wear for High School can be pageant or prom style dress. Dress style can be long or high-low hem, but should come to the knee at the highest point and not reveal too much cleavage. Remember to wear something that will make you feel spectacular. Elegance and good taste should dictate your choice. Pictures Most Photogenic will be judged on a head shot of each contestant. Division I Contestants - Photos will be color and should be no smaller than 4x6 and no larger than 5x7. Pictures should be submitted with the application and will be returned at registration on the day of the pageant or shortly thereafter. Please label the back of the photo with the contestant s name and mailing address. Division II Contestants will be scheduled to attend a meeting and will be photographed, by a professional photographer agreed upon by the pageant committee, for Most Photogenic at that time. Contestants will be notified of the date and time. Rehearsal Division I: Will have rehearsal on Thursday, January 18 th at 5:00 p.m. Division II: Contestants will be required to attend a 1.5 hour rehearsal on Thursday, January 18 th at 3:30 p.m. Interviews Division II contestants are required to attend a personal interview with the judges on the day of the pageant. Each contestant will have a private interview with the judges. The interview questions will come from answers submitted on the biography page. Dress for the interview should be Sunday dress. Elegance and good taste should dictate your choice. Registration $40 Registration fee and completed application must be turned in by noon on, December 1, 2017, at the Colleton County High School Fee Window. Please make checks payable to CCHS. No registration will be accepted without fees paid in full and all required documentation submitted. Pageant Directors, Colleton County High School, Colleton County School District, or anyone connected with this pageant is not responsible for any accident, injury or loss at the pageant or during travel to and from the pageant. I accept full responsibility for my child and her actions/behavior at all times. I am aware that any photographs taken may be used for publicity. I understand that bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated (this includes my family members and friends that may be with me). I agree that if I or those with me show poor sportsmanship, I will be disqualified from this pageant and any future pageants associated with Colleton County High School Chorus. I understand the pageant will use qualified judges and that their decision will be final. No one is allowed to approach the judges table before or after the pageant. All fees are non-refundable unless the pageant is canceled and not rescheduled.
