ACCELLFORMING VALUE ACCELL is designed and built in North America by ACCURPRESS, the leading manufacturer of press brakes for more than 30 years. DESIGNED FOR REPEAT ACCURACY frame linear guides linear encoders The ACCELL frame is built using only high quality mill certified steel. The welded construction provides the structural stability to ensure consistent performance with a minimum of forming interference and deflection. INA track rollers riding on hardened tool steel guide bars provide maximum contact area for sustained accuracy and a long service life. This design is built to accommodate off center loading when stage bending. Ram position is monitored and updated every two milliseconds (500 times per second) during the bend cycle. Linear encoders mounted independently from the frame provide real time ram positioning that is not affected by bending force. four-point ram guiding system UPPER WAYS All Accell models use the four-point Ways System for ultimate stability of the ram. Accell models, up to and including 485 tons, have large rollers installed on a hardened ways system. Accell models 685 tons and larger models are engineered with self-lubricating wear strips. FORMING WITH WILA PRECISION TOOLING & CLAMPING SYSTEMS smart tool locator for new standard ram tool holders The Smart Tool Locator is an excellent option to further enhance efficiencies for tooling placement and forming efficiencies. The intelligent calibrated scale features LED lighting that clearly identifies where tooling must be placed in the ram clamping system AND the operator will see precisely where the metal needs to be bent. Hydraulic ram clamping systems automatically clamp, seat, and align tools to maximize ACCELL productivity. ACCELL setup times are reduced by eliminating manual tightening of tools and manual die alignment. Crowning systems provide deflection compensation over the entire bed length of the machine. Crowning adjustment is made automatically using CNC powered motor or manual hand crank. Crowning systems with integrated hydraulic clamping reduce setup times and are easy to operate. 14 precision tooling Quick setups by automatically clamping and seating tools maximize ACCELL productivity. Tooling is made from steel that has high tensile strength and load bearing capacity. Tools are ground with extremely high precision and tool radii are CNC deephardened to minimize wear and increase tool life. Segmented tooling provides the flexibility to form any length part. Tool segments are easy for operators to handle and can be vertically loaded on Heavy Duty models of hydraulic ram clamping and crowning systems are available to handle the high tonnage and concentrated load requirements in bending thick plate materials. The upper hydraulic clamping system is designed for the Wila New Standard style punch tang. The clamping system width and height is considerably larger than traditional clamping units in order to be able to handle loads up to 269 tons per foot and to be able to lift and seat punches weighing up to 700 lbs per foot. The Heavy Duty Crowning Systems come standard in 6 and 10 widths and are also available with optional front and rear pillars to be able to hold extra wide bottom tools. OPTIONAL TITAN SHEET FOLLOWER sheet follower The Accell Sheet Following System follows material during the bend. The Sheet Follower table is fully synchronized with bend speed and bend angle, and supports a load capacity of 500 lb per follower. The descent speed is operator adjustable and the system can be activated by step. Optional sheet follower Parking Station beyond the press brake bed. 52 40 Accurpress offers a Titan Sheet Follower System for large tonnage press brakes. The Sheet Follower(s) is constructed with a 48 table length and capable of a 2,000 lb direct load to facilitate those applications involving heavy plate forming. Designed for using one or two units, the Sheet Follower is mounted on a linear bearing rail which is extended to accommodate parking when not being used. The Sheet Following System enhances operator productivity where parts are formed using long and heavy sheets. ACCELL offers the productivity enhancing options for custom applications. front sheet support fixtures operator guarding systems The extremely versatile and heavy duty Accurpress Front Sheet Supports are a recommended accessory for the Accell press brake. These precision supports feature solid one-piece vertical posts along with robust vertical travel linear carriages, and heavy duty jack screws. Front Sheet Support Fixtures ride on a precision guide rail for easy left to right motion. The 36 support provides operators with a portable protractor for angle capabilities while the 24 support offers a built-in protractor with adjustable swivel top. The top slides horizontally for position to the smallest or largest V-die openings. Additionally, the foot disc allows for quick and accurate height adjustment to easliy accommodate a wide variety of lower tooling heights from single V opening dies, 4-way selections, Wila and/or other special or European variations. Squaring bars and disappearing stops come standard on both supports. ACCELL offers a variety of effective solutions for operator safety. Customers are able to choose the guarding system to best fit their application and protect the operator from injury. Laser based systems and Light Curtain systems can be installed on the ACCELL.
