HMRAV would like all riders to be aware that it may be altered. You will be informed of any changes at the compulsory riders briefing on Saturday 3 th November. Camping will be available at the circuit. Historic Practice is available on Friday, 2nd November, This is run by Motorcycling Victorian, no need to call just show up!

ANNOUNCEMENT: The HMRAV, hereafter called the PROMOTER, will conduct the 2018 HMRAV s 37th Southern Classic for Historic Road Racing solos and sidecars at the State Motorcycle Complex, on the above date. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1. The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling Victoria which has issued a Motorcycling Australia Permit Number as detailed above and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia NATIONAL LICENCES and INTERNATIONAL LICENCE holders. International licence holders and those that need a one event licence need to approach MV no later than four (4) weeks before close of entry date to verify that all conditions for racing are met. International licence holders will require the applicable insurance cover including adequate repatriation insurance to the satisfaction of Motorcycling Australia prior to their race entry being accepted. 2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR s), these Supplementary Regulations, and any further instructions approved by Motorcycling Victoria. 2.3 BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1. Entries open forthwith and close last mail and on-line entries close Sunday 14th th October, 2018. Late entries will not be accepted. 3.2. In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the HMRAV, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling Victoria. 3.3. Only online entries and mailed copies received on the official Entry Form which is accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. 3.4. NOTE:- THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE HMRAV AFTER THE CLOSING DATE. (ADMINISTRATION FEE S WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM REFUND) 4. INSURANCE: 4.1. National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability for MA licence holders only. 4.2. Ambulance insurance is compulsory for licensees. 4.3. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE. 5. MEDICAL SERVICES: Race Solution s medical service will be in attendance. 6. ENTRY FEE: 6.1. Solos $220, Sidecars $230. All entry fees include insurance levy and cost of transponder. A refundable deposit of $50 will be required for the transponders. Please note deposit is only refundable if transponder is returned at the circuit. 6.2. Payment by EFT, cheque or money order only. ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED CHEQUES WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT. Cancellations must be in writing and an administration fee of $40 will be charged.

6.3. Cheques and money orders are to be made payable to HMRAV Inc. 6.4. Please include a self addressed business sized stamped envelope for confirmation of entry and the issuing of entry passes and any further instructions. 7. ENTRY PASSES: Entry is free. No passes required 8. CLASSES OF COMPETITION: SOLOS: VINTAGE [1920-1945] Including 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc, 700cc & Unlimited CLASS C [Pre 1951] - 500cc OHV & 750cc SV [Hand change] Rigid Frame CLASSIC [1946-1962] 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc & Unlimited POST CLASSIC [1963-1972] - 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc, Unlimited. FORGOTTEN ERA [1973 1980] 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc, 600cc and Unlimited. SIDECARS: Classic, Post Classic, Forgotten Era & F2 sidecar or three wheeler up to 1300cc. Note: HMRAV has a 650cc Classic and 836cc Post Classic sidecar class trophy as well. Subject to sufficient entries! 9. AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY: Trophies will be awarded over four (4) legs of racing (2 on Saturday & 2 on Sunday). Trophies will be presented Sunday at the end of racing. 10 ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: 10.1. To constitute a class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each class shall be 5 with special incentive trophies offered at the discretion of the HMRAV. Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards, will be at the discretion of the HMRAV and subject to Motorcycling Victoria approval. 11. RACE FORMAT: See the chart attached. Race format is subject to change, and/or may vary due to class sizes. 12. MACHINES AND RIDERS: 12.1. All machines entered must comply with the current GCR s for HISTORIC competition. All machines must be scrutineered by the designated MA official scrutineers. Riders and passengers must be wearing riding gear to scrutineering. 12.2. Any change of rider or machine must be done in writing to the Clerk of Course not less than 30 minutes prior to the relevant race. 12.3 RESERVE RIDERS can only ride if the primary rider has retired completely from the event, unless a separate entry fee is paid 12.4 HMRAV will not be issuing one event licences for this event. They must be applied for through the state controlling body, Motorcycling Victoria, four weeks prior to the event. 13. RIDING NUMBERS: 13.1. Where ever possible, competitors will be allocated their registered riding number or their preferred riding number. All others will be allocated numbers at the HMRAV s discretion. 13.2. All number plates on all machines MUST comply with the GCR s. 14. GRID POSITIONS: For historic machines, grid positions for Race 1 will be decided on times during practice / qualifying session on Saturday. All races thereafter will remain static over the weekends racing. Riders are responsible for knowing their grid positions. 15. RIDERS BRIEFING: A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing at 8:30am each day and ALL competitors MUST attend and sign on at the Riders Briefing. (Sunday may not have a riders briefing, listen for announcements) 16. DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 16.1. All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency. 16.2. If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended that competitors telephone the Drugs in Sport hotline 1800 020506. When drug testing takes place, the prize award may be delayed at the Motorcycling Victoria s discretion until the results of the tests are known. 17. CODE OF CONDUCT: All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCRs), which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this meeting and will be enforced. Riders being rude to officials may be excluded from the meeting. 18. TIMETABLE

Scrutineering from 7:30am on Saturday, and Sunday if required. If scrutineering is available Friday it will commence at 3pm. Riders briefing will be at 8:30am each day. Practice will start at 9:10am each day. For the purposes of drug & alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 8:00am with the completion of the meeting being when the last participant has vacated the venue. 19. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: Broadford has a length of 2.1 km, runs clockwise and has a bitumen surface. 19. STARTS: Will be by clutch when the red lights go out. 21. RACING: Machine examination 7:30am to 9:30am. Riders Briefing 8:30am. Practice / Qualifying will start at 9:10am in 5 minute blocks. The RACE SECRETARY will have a chart with full details and times. The proposed Practice / Qualifying will be as per the program. 22. NOISE: All machines must meet the requirements and not exceed 95dc(a) at 30 meters. Meters will be in operation. 23. GST: Not applicable. 24. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS: 24.1 UNATTENDED CHILDREN ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THEIR PARENTS. 24.2 NO ANIMALS, WITH THE EXEMPTION OF GUIDE DOGS, ARE PERMITTED WITHIN THE STATE MOTOR CYCLE COMPLEX. RIDERS WHO BRING ANIMALS WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE MEETING 24.3 UNREGISTERED VEHICLES. Unregistered vehicles / bicycles and scooters not entered in competition may not be used at a permitted event unless authorised by the Clerk of Course and under official supervision. Bicycles and/or scooters will be confiscated until the meeting ends. 24.4 FACILITIES ETC. Gates will be open all night on Friday evening but may be locked at 8:30pm Saturday evening for security purposes. Contact with the Circuit Staff will need to be made to gain entry after this time. Food and beverages will be available at the circuit Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast will be available Sunday morning. Pit Sheds are all allocated, 1 st in best dressed. You will be advised if you have received a pit shed when you receive your passes.

I (block letters), (RIDER) I (block letters), (PASSENGER) HEREBY AGREE with the persons, organisations and bodies corporate whose names appear in Schedule 1 (hereinafter collectively called the organisers ) that I am by this agreement entitled to participate in the motorcycle meeting listed in Schedule 2 (hereinafter called the meeting ) at the venue listed in Schedule 3 (hereinafter called the venue ) on the terms and conditions set out in this document. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS, DANGERS AND OBLIGATIONS 2. I ACKNOWLEDGE that the sport of motorcycle racing is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport and participating in the race meeting I take and am exposed to certain risks and dangers and am under certain obligations as follows: a) that I may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed; b) that my machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed; c) that other competitors may ride dangerously or with lack of skill; d) that track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability; e) that the organisers, officials, landowners/track operators and any agent or representatives of those in charge of race meetings are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time and/or events; f) that any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be avoided; g) that there may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured; h) that I have an obligation to myself and others to compete safely and within the rules of competition. INDEMNITY GIVEN TO ORGANISERS 3. IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of me as an entrant in the meeting I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY the organisers and each of them in the following manner: a) that I participate in the race meeting at my sole risk and responsibly; b) that I accept the venue as it stands with all or any defect hidden or exposed; c) that I indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, their respective servants, agents or officials against any actions or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or rising out of my death or any injury, loss or damage caused to me or to my machine or equipment whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any manner whatsoever.
