WOLLONDILLY NETBALL ASSOCIATION Inc. PO Box 178 Picton NSW 2571 WNA General Meeting DATE: 27/02/2017 LOCATION: Tahmoor Inn MEETING COMMENCED: 7.10pm AGENDA ITEM 1. Attendance & Apologies: As per attendance sheets 2. Matters arising from previous minutes: NIL moved: Jacki Keller, Seconded: Jenny Waites NEW BUSINESS - We were expecting Rachel from Wilton Club to attend to discuss the new team. - Tia: Issue with her role as Rep Coordinator. There was never any indication of Tia giving up the Bargo Committee position and is registered under WNA. As a very small association it is hard to form an executive and only hold it to 2 members without getting reps from all clubs. May need to increase this to 3 unless each club nominates 2 people every year to continue us to run into the future. Still have vacant coaching position and we need clubs to think about it or we may need to change the constitution or enforce all clubs to nominate 2 people for consideration each year at the AGM. - Bethaney has volunteered to look after the Wilton club and take them under Buxton for 2017 season only. As Wilton is a big growth area we want them at WNA. ACTION - Bill will follow up with Rachel - All clubs do not have a problem with this. 3. Notice of Motion: NIL 4. New Elections: NIL 5. There will be a changeover period as money goes in there as we have bills to pay but no money in there. All invoices for uniforms and fitness have been sent via email. If anyone has questions please contact me via email. All rep carnivals except 1 have been paid for. Accounts for championships and carnivals will be sent as soon as Tia finalises things and passes them on. Found out the NSW deregistration is end of February so please double check your registrations because anyone registered under your club at the end of February will be billed to you. Ask what the assets for plant and equipment is for? $142000 is a lot can we get this down and then de-register for GST? Figures don t match on spreadsheet Subscription $40 is this MYOB costs? Moved: Danielle Hamilton, seconded: Bethaney Wilton

- Registrar: A reminder to all clubs that first fixtures are due by 5pm this Saturday 4 th March. I need the team lists completed which are on the WNA website and emailed back to me. Prior to final fixtures on the 17 th March, ALL teams need to be updated on the database as per their requested divisions the club has nominated. Come grading day on the 18 th March and teams have been moved into different divisions, I can make these changes at an association level prior to me completing the draws. I aim to have the draws completed by the following weekend, giving clubs exactly one week to let their teams/coaches know what times they will be playing in Round 1. Can I please get a list of forfeit contacts for each club so this can be updated prior to competition starting? Can clubs please start letting WNA know when they require using a court for coaching/training so the spreadsheet can be updated. Accepted: Bridget Allen, Seconded: Jacki Keller - Rep Coordinator: Training recommenced, fitness started, and money for fitness invoiced. 17s went to Oceania Cup and came second. Thanks to umpires and supporters. Rep carnivals start in 2 weeks 12 th March at Bankstown. Feedback is to go to coach first then to Tia. Regional league lodged this afternoon. What do we do if dresses don t arrive by 12 th March? Looking at 20 th March, may need to wear t-shirts and shorts. Bridget will chase suppliers. Sent out EOI for 12s dev, 15s and over 35s for players to join teams. Not enough left over from lists. Need to open up to try and fill team otherwise teams will fold. We ask clubs to help us. 15s running with 8, 12s come to training Thursday 5-6.30pm and see what goes on. Accepted: Danielle Hick, Seconded: Jacki Keller - Tahmoor Sportsground: New room being built, Netball get nothing from this. NETSETGO courts topdressing still not done, new cricket nets being installed. Fitness trainer Allison Skinner using grass courts for training, this is not approved or allowed and needs to be looked into. DPI coming into remove rabbits please don t touch them or the carrots as they have poisons on them. Little A s also complaining about rabbits. Accepted: Jacki Keller, Seconded: Bethaney Wilton - Senior Umpire Convenor: Welcome to Karina. Jacki put up proposal for clubs to vote on by the end of the week. See report submitted by Jacki. Ask clubs to respond back to Bethaney regarding thoughts on this proposal. Karina has worked on assessment sheets for each umpire level. Intermediate level should be attending carnivals. Can learn a lot over the day and should be getting them the experience. Almost finished guidelines to be able to give to club convenors. Will be selling whistles and rules books from the canteen. Accepted: Lana Welstead, Seconded: Bethaney Wilton - Member Protection Officer: Apology; Nancy won t be there first week but will have a nominated person in her place. Any issues let us know straight away so it doesn t fester into something bigger. Moved: Lana Welstead, Seconded: Bethaney Wilton - Clubs to respond back by 17 th March on guidelines

- NETSETGO Coordinator: Requested ambassador to come out either 6 th May or 17 th June awaiting a response. All equipment is available on internet and looking at running an information session on NETSETGO with structure. Option 7-9 s play full rules? All clubs agree to make 7-9s division full netball rules. Senior badged or above for all NETSETGO games, would like to phase in intermediate umpires as well. Would like a NETSETGO accreditation for umpires. Potentially may need 2 time slots for NETSETGO. Memo came out that they are not Netta s anymore just NETSETGO.
