The Tucson, Ariz. native has career average of 11.4 points per game in his 37 starts. He scored 10, 12, 12 and a season-high 15 points respectively in the Pack s five games of the season. NEW GUYS FILLING THE SPOTS: All five of Nevada s newcomers have seen action on the court this season. Sophomore transfer Kaileb Rodriguez has started the first four games at forward and is averaging 3.6 rebounds per game. Freshman Eric Cooper, Jr. is averaging 4.4 points per game off the bench playing both guard positions. Junior college transfer Tyron Criswell has come off the bench in both games to average 6.2 points per contest. Freshmen forwards Robyn Missa and Elijah Foster have also seen time off the bench in the early season. 2014-15 PREVIEW After struggling in 2012-13, Nevada s first season competing in the Mountain West the 2013-14 squad rebounded to finish in a tie for third posting a 10-8 record in conference play and went 15-17 overall. Senior guard Deonte Burton was named to the All-MW first team after averaging 20.1 points per game. The Wolf Pack swept intrastate rival UNLV for the first time since the 1994-95 season. In the first game at UNLV, Burton scored 29 points as the Pack snapped an eight-game losing skid to the Rebels with a 74-71 victory in Las Vegas. Nevada rallied from a 17-point deficit in the second meeting at home to win 76-72 as Burton once again led the way with 24 points. BACKCOURT With the graduation of All-Mountain West point guard Deonte Burton, who led the team and ranked second in the MW scoring 20.1 points per game, the Wolf Pack backcourt has some big shoes to fill. Also gone is another four-year stater in Jerry Evans, Jr. who contributed 12.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per game last season. Senior shooting guard Michael Perez is the top returning scorer from last season when he averaged 11.5 points per game in his first season after transferring from UTEP. Perez started all 32 games and shot 38.3 percent from the field including 33.1 from three-point range. In addition to his scoring he contributed 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 35.1 minutes per game. Marqueze Coleman, a 6-4 junior point guard is slated to start alongside Perez this season. In two seasons he has played in 58 games and earned four starts. The team s Sixth Man Award recipient the past two seasons, he averaged six points in 17.7 minutes last season and 5.2 in 15.7 over his career. Another of the returning letterwinners is sophomore D.J. Fenner who appeared in all 32 games last season when he averaged 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds. At 6-6 he has the ability to play either shooting guard or small forward and will challenge for the starting spot at small forward in year two in the program. Central Community College transfer Tyron Criswell is a 6-3 scorer who averaged 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals last season for the Raiders as they finished third at the National Junior College Tournament. The Omaha, Neb. native was named the NCJAA Division II Player of the Year as a sophomore. Expect Criswell to provide the Pack offensive punch this season. Eric Cooper, Jr. comes to Nevada from IMG Academy in Florida where he averaged 17.5 points, connected on 47 percent of his field goal attempts and made 43 percent of his three-pointers. The 6-3 Cooper will play both point and shooting guard as a freshman. Walk-on sophomore Patrick Conroy is back after playing in two contests last season. Conroy works at both guard positions. Redshirt freshman Stelios Papafloratos will be seeking time on the floor in his second season with the program. Papafloratos has the ability to play either guard position. FRONTCOURT Three letterwinners return in the frontcourt and three newcomers will battle for time this season. AJ West, Ronnie Stevens, Jr. and Lucas Stivrins all return and made starts last season for the Pack. Kaileb 5

Rodriguez, Elijah Foster and Robyn Missa are new to the team this season. West started 19 of the 21 games in which he appeared after being cleared by the NCAA to play. West averaged 6.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and his 2.4 blocks per game to rank third in MW play. He will be counted on to increase his scoring and rebound in his second year in the program and once again defend the paint. In September he was granted another year of eligibility by the NCAA and will have two seasons to play for the Pack. Stevens, one of two seniors on the team, appeared in 19 games earning three starts before a stress fracture that required surgery forced him to miss 12 contests. He averaged 3.3 points and 2.6 rebounds playing 14.4 minutes per game. A healthy Stevens should see more playing time in his second year in the program and have his numbers increase. The 6-11 Stivrins is the tallest player on the team and added 25 pounds of muscle and bulk since the start of last season. He made two starts and saw action in 18 games a year ago. Stivrins is in the hunt for more playing time in his junior year. Rodriguez spent last season at Sheridan (Wyo.) College after redshirting his freshman year at Cal. In 31 games last season the 6-9, 235-pound forward averaged 4.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Foster and Missa are two freshmen who add size, bulk and depth to the frontcourt. Both will see playing time in year one in the program. Foster helped Rainier Beach High School to three consecutive Washington state championships and earned tournament MVP honors as a senior after averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds. During the season he averaged 9.5 points and 11 rebounds per game. Originally from Berlin, Germany, the 6-9, 245-pound Missa played last season at Long Island (N.Y.) Lutheran High School and helped the Crusaders to a 21-5 record. Missa averaged 8.4 points and 10 rebounds as a prep senior. He played his junior year at Montverde Academy in Florida and helped them win a National Championship. Once again Nevada is picked by the media to finish near the bottom of the MW at eighth. The 18-game conference schedule gets underway with Air Force at home on Jan. 3. The Pack plays intrastate rival UNLV twice within the first seven games of the MW schedule, Jan. 7 in Las Vegas and Jan. 27 at home. Nevada also plays Fresno State twice in January at home on the 10th on the road Jan. 24. Road trips to Colorado State and Wyoming also come the first month of the season.
