Puerto rico By: Joaquin.m It was a hot day my family and I had just arrived in a 2112.16 mile plane ride. When my family and I got of of the plane we had to, go thru the metal detector. When we got off our family was waiting to pic us all up in a blue and gray honda, it was exciting. We arrived at the house, I was so little that house looked like a mansion to me. It was a orange mixed with red, white siding, with a black gate going around the whole entire house. Also there was so many trees you d never think there was a house there. We got back in the car and went to my cousin Hobentheto s house. When we arrived his wife. was cooking and Hobenthto was cutting down some trees, like I said there are trees every where you look there. My family and I had left and gone to what looked like a big hill but at the top was some thing. As I was going up the hill I saw some of my cousins houses they were colors no one could imagine. We finally reached my great grandma's house. She was on the porch getting some air. She started speaking spanish, I knew a little bit of what she was saying but not all of it. When I walked in side I could smell the rice and beans, man did that smell good? As I rushed to the kitchen I saw my aunt cooking. I asked her, Can I have some rice and beans? She replied, Yes mijo So I ate the rice and beans like a, crazy person. My mom yelled across the house, lets go Joaquin. I did not want to leave because I was eating but, we just had to go. My family, Juan, Anita (mom), Juan (dad) and I had went to my great grandmas house, that she owned in Puerto Rico. When my family and I got there it was so beautiful, there were palm trees everywhere. When I got in side my grandma and grandpa were there. I told them, I thought you guess where in michigan, they said Never expect they uninspected Ha ha i said. My grandma was cooking rice and beans. I could smell the rice and beans from outside thats how good they were. My grandma had called every one over to have a bbq. There were people there that I never knew existed. My cousins and I played tag around the whole entire house, my cousins would always say, Thonte ta Joaquin, E JJ. My brother and I would giggle and that just made Kevin my cousin get closer to me. He finally finally found my brother and I we were
under this table that had a whole bunch of food like, chicken and lots of other good foods. My grandma yelled all the way across the house Kids!!!!!!!! Come and eat!!!!!!! So I ran as fast as I could I don't know about the other. O I just remember i was supposed to be finding everyone since I was the first one to be tagged. I said whatever I will just eat. so I had the best dinner I had out of state in a long time.as my family was leaving one of them I dont know who but, they left there wallet. They were long gone so I could not go and catch them. I just had to give up.
THE DREAM #1 By: Joaquin.m Lebron and I felt the pressure of walking around the streets of Oklahoma City. Being a Cavs player and fan, it wasn t very comfortable. When Lebron and I saw Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, we gave each other a high five and wanted to challenge them to a game. I had to ask them a million times. Finally they both said. Yes. So we went to the Oklahoma City Thunder s stadium. When I walked in, it was weird because whenever I was in a basketball stadium it was usually full of people. When Lebron and I went to the away locker room, we had to borrow some basketball clothes because we were in our dress clothes. I told Lebron, I call the Nike elite shorts. He says, Ok. We also had to come up with a game plan. Lebron s idea was.. Your the point guard. I will stay down low. If we do that, Durant and Westbrook don t stand a chance against us. This was my idea. Just pick and roll the whole game, we will win. Lebron s idea was the best, so we had to agree on his. As we jumped in excitement out of the locker room, we had gone to the home locker room to get Durant and Westbrook to come and play, but they were discussing their game plan so Lebron and I decided to listen to them. When Lebron and I heard them coming out, we acted like we were just shooting around. So we shot around and got warmed up, and finally I told Durant, Lets start back up. The first one to 25 will win the game. Also the winner will get the collection of KD shoes and socks, so thats the deal. Also if you guys win then you get Lebron shoes and socks. Ok said Lebron, Durant, and Westbrook. So it s jump ball I could feel butterflies in my stomach coming. As I was daydreaming, Lebron had won the tip and tipped it to me. Lets go!!!!!!!!!, said Lebron. That woke me up. I started running, and dribbling the fastest I have ever ran, I passed it to Lebron and he was onnnnnnnnnn fire. When he dunked it, he screamed really loud. So score 2-0. I could tell lebron really wanted those KD shoes and socks. Durant checks the ball up top, and wastes no time and shoots a three. Nothing but net. Score 2-3. I check the ball up top, fake pass to Lebron and shoot that three. Oooo, drained it. Score 5-3. Westbrook checks it and passes to Durant. They keep passing, I think they are playing with us, I say to Lebron. Westbrook finally shoots a three but misses. I grab the rebound and pass it, Lebron shoots the three from half court and makes it. Durant checks it up and passes it to westbrook, he shoots the jumper and makes it. Score 8-5. My team is winning.
I check it up top,pass it to Lebron, he passes it back to me I shoot a three. Oh its raining threes. Score 11-5. Lebron. Durant checks it up 5 seconds on the clock 5432 he shoots, errrrrr he shoots and makes it. He goes and cuts off the net. So now they have no net to play with. End of the first quarter. Start of the second half. My team won the jump. Durant starts with the ball. Westbrook just comes up and shoves Durant. It s a 1 on 1 teammate brawl. Durant punches Westbrook in the face, and then Westbrook calls to his mommy crying. He says, Mommy can I beat up Durant? Durant, ends up going to jail and gets suspended from the NBA for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BrOkEn NoSe By: Joaquin m It was a hot day, perfect day for baseball. I had just gotten back from kentucky with the 10 year olds. Now I was playing with my team. It was the first practice we had in 2 weeks. Every age for the bees was at clark park. Once everyone got to the park, we all stretched and played catch. Joey, the coach hit fly balls to the outfielders and we had to throw it to second, third, and home plate. When my friends and I where done my uncle said, Let the outfielders hit first he said. Joey said No just let the outfielders take some grounders with everyone else So we all went to our positions. Tony, Brent, Eric, Oscar and I went to our positions, I had gone to first. Coach Joey had started hitting grounders to third base and he eventually gone around and gotten to the first basemans. I was the first one in line, I got the first ground ball clean. But my second one.. The ball hit a rock at the last second, I didn't have any time to react. So, crack!!!!!!!! went the ball. I did not hear the crack sound but I could hear my friends say, It was like a wooden bat hitting a hard ball Right after the ball hit my nose I was bleeding and I ran crying to my uncle. He ran to me and Niemer, went to his car to go and grab a towel to catch the blood. My uncle asked me How many fingers am I holding up I said 1234 I was pretty accurate. Them Joey said he l be alright then he just keeps hitting ground balls just like nothing happened. Niemer calls my dad saying, I think Joaquin just broke his nose I did not know what my dad said, I think he said Bring him here So my grandpa, Niemer and I went to my dads high school. When we all got there the bleeding had cooled down a-lot.
I could see my dad waiting out for me outside from the school. when I got out the car my dad wasted no time, got inside the car and drives over to me and said Lets go so I hop in the car and we just cruise to the hospital. When we get there my dad fills out this form when hes done we sit and sit and sit until they call our last name. Finally one of the nurses says
