Coaches: Please remind your team s Booster Rep that he/she needs to attend meetings. If your rep can t make a meeting, please make sure that you have an alternate person available to participate in discussions and relay information to parents. 3. My Locker account a. Received a check for $68.58 for our share of the purchases made through our site. 4. Hoops Mania a. Tickets were distributed to travel coaches and players should have received them. Must be turned in by 3/15/17. 5. Spring Pictures a. Tuesday, May 9 th from 5-8pm at Copeland Middle School b. Does Valley want to be scheduled for team pictures? 6. End of the Season Medals and Gifts a. Rec- order medals instead of trophies b. Valley- RTSA will pay $50 towards a team s party. Coaches must submit a receipt for reimbursement. c. Travel ideas (narrowed down from previous suggestions)- want to keep under $15, including customization i. Drawstring bag with RTSA logo (can be used for cleats)- $12 each ii. Mini ball with RTSA logo- $10 each iii. Capelli long sleeve black performance top- $20 before adding RTSA on the collar or a logo on the chest 7. Travel Picnic a. Hold it at Picatinny again b. In previous years, Boosters has budgeted $20-25 per player for end-of-the-year gift and picnic. c. Should we set a cost per family of $10-$20 to cover part of the cost of the picnic and RTSA would cover the remaining cost? (If we keep the gift at $15 or less, the remaining money could be applied to the picnic.) d. Possible dates: Fridays June 2 nd, 9 th (Copeland Dorney Music Fest), 16 th (8 th grade Social). Need to book Picatinny ASAP to secure a date & pay a $100 rental fee and a $50 security fee (which won t be processed if there is no damage and the picnic equipment bag is returned.) e. Use Cannon Gate Catering from Picatinny again. Cost is $10 per person for an all-you-can-eat buffet of Italian sausage and peppers, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, corn on the cob (seasonal), potato salad, coleslaw, watermelon slices, condiments and rolls. f. Invite Cheshire to hold activities on the field again g. Can we invite Rafael Díaz from the Red Bulls since he is from Rockaway? 8. ROAR sports drink company had previously contacted RTSA about receiving product samples. Emails to the brand manager who had contacted us to awhile to be returned. He had emailed saying that the product would have been delivered two weeks ago. However, nothing has been delivered as of today. I m not anticipating receiving the samples. 9. Tri-County Fair a. Christ Church in Rockaway will be holding the Tri-County Fair from June 15 th -18 th, 2017. b. Christ Church contacted RTSA about a fundraising opportunity for discounted ride vouchers and the use of the dunk tank. c. We ve been given Sat. June 17 th from 3pm- 11pm for the use of the dunk tank. We can ask to change the date to Fri. June 16 th since the time would be less (from 6pm- 11pm) with fireworks that night at 9pm. d. For the dunk tank, we need volunteers to collect money and to be dunked i. Volunteers for money collection would work 1-hour shifts. ii. Volunteers for dunking need to be adults. If we assigned 1 person to be dunked every 30-minute period, we would need 10 volunteers for Friday or 16 volunteers for Saturday. February2017 Meeting Minutes: RTSA Page 3 of 7

President s Report (President@rtsa.org) Tom Nolan All registrations will be closing this week and rosters will start to be created. Travel starts play April 2, Valley starts play April 8 and Rec will probably start games on April 29th with clinics on the 8th and 22nd. Late Easter and Spring break throwing a monkey wrench in the scheduling. Will be running PALS with a clinic, American and National Festival style with trainers present. President, VP, Treasurer, Secretary and Director of Coaching will be signing off that RTSA as a quasi Town organization will not create any policies or rules that violate any individuals Civil Rights. This is a defensive policy that Rockaway Township has created in the event an individual or group sues the town for violation of their civil rights. Any questions about this can be directed towards Bryan Coward in the Town offices. I received a Megan s Law alert that a sexual offender has moved into the area. I ll get a copy of the alert if I can, to pass around to coaches. I don t believe we are allowed to email the information about the offender to everyone because their civil rights are more important than the safety of our children. MCYSA has grouped U15 into D2 for the Spring. D2 is U16. There are very few teams 13 boys and 4 girls, so that is why it was done. Rick is at the MCYSA meeting tonight to get a little more insight. This is not how it was presented to us last year and we ll have to keep it in mind going forward. Travel coaches, make sure you are reading Rick s emails. There are usually deadlines on the requests he is making. Travel Director s Report (TravelDirector@rtsa.org) Rick Suntag at the MCYSA meeting, so lots of info coming after that. We will have 3 HS teams this season, D2B (Mendo), D1B (Lee Marsh), D1G (Teri) Spring League Cup is U10, U14, U15, D2, and D1. All teams at those age groups should register ASAP and get me your receipt, or send me an email and let me know why your team is not entering? Spring registration with MCYSA is done - Existing teams don't need to do anything. new (D1 / D2) teams need to login to GotSoccer and apply to the league before they can card. PCN (pre-season conflict notice) deadline has now passed. If you have a date that causes issues with your team, you'll need to work it out with the opponent. Preliminary flighting for U9-U14 is out. If you have any issues with it, email me a detailed explanation as to why your team should be higher / lower flighted. As of Fri Feb 24, D1/D2 flighting is not out and the decision on whether or not U15 will be it's own grouping or part of D2 has not been made. Director Of Coaching (DOC@rtsa.org) Rich Gill Coaches, send in any trainer / scheduling requests as soon as possible. Looking to finalize pracice schedule. Working on goalie training on Friday nights, target only 2 players per team. Coaches will need to invite. U9-10, U11-12, U13-15 is preliminary thought. Director of Field Operations & Development (FieldOperations@rtsa.org) Jeff Fino I have reached out to several rental stores for the use of 6 portable lights to be used at Christ Church during the months of April and May.. I will be providing 3 quotes at tomorrow's meeting for discussion Head Referee s Report (HeadReferee@rtsa.org) John Olsen February2017 Meeting Minutes: RTSA Page 4 of 7
