Breakout - Players in our Defensive zone break out of the box; Attack drops into our offensive box o Red players represent long poles / Goalies; Blue players represent shot poles o Defense: The (2) low defenders banana cut and stay even with the goalie; the other defender breaks to the end of the face off restraining line on the substitution box side o Middies: the Long Stick Midfielder (LSM) breaks the side position located at the end of the faceoff restraining line away from the substitution box. A Short Stick Midfielder breaks to the midfield (mid position) and the other breaks to the top of the box (top position) o Attack: The top man breaks to the mid line in a C-cut, the two low attack C-cut to the front of the crease

Goalie walks ball up field - When the goalie moves up the field with the ball o Defenders support Goalie Wing defenders (#9 & #8) stay even up to the box line Box side defender (#7) subs out o Midfielders rotate Top middie (#4)goes to Box Side Wing Line Sub middie (#11) looks to sprint out of the box to get open for the Goalie Mid middie (#5) moves to the offensive wing line on the non-box side Side middie (#6) stays put and reads the play o Attack moves for the ball Point Attack (#2) falls back in front of the crease Wing attack (#1 & #3) C-cut up to the midfield line Should our goalie get to the top of the box with the ball without a pass he will look to up and over pass to a corner of our offensive box to allow the attack the chance to gain possession by picking up a ground ball.
