Aberdeen and District Motor Club 26 May 2018 Granite Stages at Leuchars Supplementary Regulations [1] Announcement Aberdeen and District Motor Club will organise a National 'B' permit Single Venue Tarmac Stage Rally called the Granite Stages at Leuchars on 26 May 2018 at Leuchars Base, Leuchars, Fife. [2] Jurisdiction This meeting will be held under the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA), and these Supplementary Regulations and any written instructions that the promoting club may issue for the event. [3] Authorisation MSA Permit No(s): 106670 Ecosse Juniors 106615 Senior entrants [4] Eligibility The event is open to all fully-elected members of Scottish Association of Car Clubs, ANECC, ANICC and ANWCC. All entrants must produce a club membership card and a valid stage rally drivers licence This event will be held under the General Regulations of the Motor Sport Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these Supplementary Regulations. Amendments to these Supplementary Regulations will be announced only by numbered and dated bulletins issued by the organisers. [5] Championships: The event is a round of the Scottish Tarmack Championship and the Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge 2018. [6] Scrutineering Scrutineering starts at 16:00 and will finish at 20:00 on 25 th May 2018 and resume at 07:00 to 08:00 on 26 th May 2018 at Leuchars Base. Scrutineering will take place in Hangar 215 which is adjacent to the service area. [7] Programme Entries open at 20:00 on Sunday 29 th April 2018 Entries close for seeding at noon on Wednesday 16 th May Final Instructions will be issued on Sunday 20 st May Seeding list published by Tuesday 22rd May Scrutineering and noise check open from 16:00 to 20:00 at Leuchars Friday 25 th and again from 07:00 to 08:00 Saturday 26 th.

Documentation open from 16:00 to 20:00 at Leuchars on Friday 25 th and again 07:00 to 08:00 Saturday 26 th. Event will start at 08:30. Any competitor not signed on by 08:00 on Saturday 26 th May may be excluded. [8] Description of Event Single venue multi stage rally consisting of 10 special stages totalling 55 miles for the seniors and 9 special stages totalling 50 miles for juniors, wholly within the boundaries of Leuchars airfield. Diagrams of the stages will be issued to crews at signing on. The organisers mileage will be deemed to be correct. Pacenotes of any kind are forbidden whether or not they relate to the stage being used at the time. The following classes will apply: - Class 0 up to 1000cc Class 1 1001cc to 1400cc Class 2 1401cc to 1600cc Class 3 1601cc to 2000cc Class 4 above 2001cc, 2WD Class 5 above 2001cc, 4WD [9] Vehicles Starting Positions The Ecosse Junior crews will run at 1 minute intervals, all other crews will run at 30 second intervals. The following start light system will be used: 30 seconds Red light on 15 seconds Red and amber lights on 10 seconds Red light off and all amber lights on 5 1 seconds Individual amber lights go off 0 seconds Green light on + 6 seconds Green light off [10] Practicing Requirements Practicing will not be permitted. Walking the stage route is not allowed at any time. It is hoped to have a video of the first 2 stages on show in the Scrutineering Hangar on Saturday morning. [11] Identification Event Decals and identification numbers will be issued by the organisers and must be placed on each side of the car in accordance with R.6.1.3. prior to scrutineering and removed from competing cars on retirement. [12] Service Area The service area is on the western end of the main aircraft parking area in front of Hangar 215. All servicing must be conducted using an environmental ground sheet. Refuelling must be carried out in the designated refuelling area. Service area speed limit is 10mph. Only 1 service vehicle per competing car will be allowed into the service area.

[13] Judges of Fact A list of Judges of Fact will be posted on the Official Notice Board. Should any of the above figures not be reached, the organisers have the right to amalgamate classes or cancel the event. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt of payment of the entry fee and 10 places will be reserved for Junior Championship contenders. [17] Entry List The entry list opens on Sunday 29 th April at 20:00 and closes for seeding on 16th May at 12:00 (midday). The on-line entry system will go live at 20:00 on Sunday 29 th Apr and all entries must be made using this system which can be found via www.admcclub.com/granite.html The Entry Fee is 250 for Senior and Citroen C2 entries and 225 for junior entries. All entries must be made on the online entry system and be accompanied by the entry fee. The entry will not be shown on the unseeded entry list or accepted until full payment has been made. The entry fee will be refunded in full to competitors whose entry has not been accepted.

Entries will only be accepted if all highlighted information is entered on the entry form. Drivers name must be entered on the entry form at the time of entry however, this may be changed, due to unforeseen circumstances, up to the closure of signing on at 08:30 on 27 th May. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt of an online entry and full payment. Entry fees may be refunded, less an administration fee of 30.00, for entries withdrawn before the closing date (16/05/18 at midday). Entries withdrawn after this date up until 48 hours before the event will be refunded 50% of entry fee. Thereafter refunds will at the discretion of the organisers. Reserve entries that are not accepted will have their entries returned in full. In the event that the rally is cancelled prior to start, entry fees will be repaid in full. The rally has been accepted as a round of the JUNIOR 1000 ECOSSE CHALLENGE 2018 as defined by the championship rules. As part of the MSA requirements/regulations for this championship competitors in the championship must run on the stages by themselves, i.e. there must not be any cars from the senior part of the event live on the stage at the same time as the Juniors. Senior entrants will not be allowed to start a stage until all Juniors have finished and been accounted for. If any Senior crew has stopped on the stage for any reason and the Juniors start their subsequent run THEY MUST NOT MOVE UNTIL ALL THE JUNIORS HAVE FINISHED THEIR RUN THROUGH THE STAGE (Junior runners will be denoted by running number J1 upwards). PENALTY FOR DISOBEYING THIS INSTRUCTION WILL BE EXCLUSION FROM THE EVENT, REPORTING TO THE STEWARDS OF THE MEETING AND THE MSA. Once the Junior competitors have finished any Senior competitors, who are able to do so, will be given permission to return to the service area. The above is reciprocal to the Junior competitors. PERMITTED TYRES: All competitors in the Junior Ecosse Challenge 2018 must use the Championship control tyre. Permission has been granted by the MSA for the Championships control tyre to be from Tyre List 1C. (Tyre suppliers at the event will be Wheels Around). [28] Other Requirements/Information Maximum total lateness for the event is 10 minutes. DAMAGE DECLARATION: Competitors will be required to sign a report detailing whether they have been involved in any incidents resulting in damage to private property and/or injury to persons or animals, or alternatively giving details of any such incident where damage or injury has occurred (R.40.1.3). Any information given will not incur a penalty, but failure to hand in a duly completed form will be penalised by EXCLUSION and will be reported to the MSA for further disciplinary action. The Competitor is responsible for the first 450.00 of each or any third party damage caused which is covered by the MSA Insurance policy and for the full cost of any damage not covered by the MSA Insurance policy (Appendix 2, MSA Regulations 2018). Due to the countrywide increased security state the base guard force will be carrying out random vehicle checks on vehicles entering the station. If you are approached by uniformed guard staff and asked for permission to search your vehicle you MUST comply with their request, failure to do so will result in the immediate removal of the vehicle and associated personnel from the base. EVERYONE ENTERING LEUCHARS BASE MUST CARRY PHOTO ID ON THEIR PERSON AT ALL TIMES. While there may not, necessarily, be a 100% ID check, if you are asked for identification by any of the uniformed base staff and cannot produce it you WILL be removed from the base. 29. PENALTIES

a) Excess lateness in minutes taken over target on road sections and Special Stages is cumulative and once lost cannot be regained. When accumulated lateness exceeds the permitted maximum, a competitor will be excluded. Maximum lateness on this event is 10 minutes. b) For every minute early at Special Stage (SS) arrival control 1 minute c) Making a false start on a SS 1 minute d) Not complying with a requirement of the roadbook (R.32.13.c), these regulations, or any other written instruction which may be issued for the event for which no other penalty is specified. 10 minutes e) Driving on the grass (1 st offence) 5 minutes f) Driving on the grass (2 nd offence) EXCLUSION g) Taking an incorrect route on a SS Stage Maximum h) Striking a route marker, eg tyres, stakes or IBC s 30 sec per incident i) Shortcutting, (deliberate cutting of corners with 1 or more wheels coming in contact with the cultivated surface or driving through any barrier used to define the route) STAGE MAXIMUM j) Persistent striking of route markers (after SR29.h) EXCLUSION k) The following offences will carry the penalty of EXCLUSION Failure to significantly reduce speed when shown a Yellow Flag (R.25.6.4) Any competitor or Service Crew found in a Prohibited Area Driving in the reverse direction on a Special Stage (R.25.6.2) Failure to wear properly fastened seat belts, crash helmet or HANS device on a SS Failure to have Fire Extinguisher armed on a SS Misuse of the SOS symbol on a SS Exiting a SS without reporting to SS Finish Control (Unless otherwise instructed) Failure to complete every SS and attend every MTC Baulking: Any competitor intentionally baulking another will be given a time penalty of 15 minutes for the first instance and exclusion for the second occurrence. COMPETITORS APPROACHING A MERGE TO JOIN THE LOOP MUST GIVE WAY TO COMPETITORS ALREADY ON THE LOOP. At all other times competitors MUST give way to faster cars approaching from behind.
