Frequently Asked Questions What is included in my tryout fee? Athlete evaluation, Individualized tryout, evaluation assessment sent home, Leveled stunt and tumble practices, Extra Tumble/Conditioning Classes, An Infinity T-Shirt, Infinity Swag Bag with themed goodies for each athlete and admission into the Team Reveal party on June 2 nd. How are teams selected? We select teams to be the most competitive in each level. There are many different factors taken into consideration when choosing the best fit for each athlete. We will be looking at tumbling level, jumps, stunting ability, performance potential, attitude, maturity and age when selecting our 2018-2019 competitive teams. And YES, everyone makes a team. How often do the teams practice? Levels 1-4 Cheer Twice per week, ranging from 2-2.5 hours each practice Level 5 Cheer Twice per week, 2.5-3 hours each practice and 2 Sundays per month starting in August/ending in December. Tiny/Prep Cheer Twice per week, 1-1.5 hours each practice Dance Once a week, 1.5 hours each practice There will be additional weekend practices for select teams as needed in September, October and November to prepare for competition season. The practice calendar for the year will be released at our Team Reveal. What is the Infinity attendance policy? Cheerleading is a team sport that requires all athletes to be present in order to successfully hold practice. Therefore, athletes are required to attend every practice. More than TWO absences during the season can result in removal from team. During the week leading up to a competition all practices are mandatory. ANY ATHLETE WHO IS UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN PRACTICE DURING THE WEEK LEADING UP TO A COMPETITION WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE ROUTINE FOR THAT WEEKEND. We have a summer vacation planned- what should I do? We value the importance of family at Infinity and encourage you to take time with each other during the summer months. We will excuse an athlete for a summer vacation if we have a completed vacation form at least 1 week prior to their absence. There are 3 MANDATORY work weeks in the summer; June 9 th -16 th, July 9 th -13 th, August 6 th - 10 th. All athletes must be present as this is where we will be learning the routine stunt/tumble sections. Any athlete who misses a work week will NOT have their spot in the routine secured. Competitions/ Travel Bid Events Below are the competitions that require bids and are NOT part of your competition fees for the season. A separate meeting will be held with each team if bid is received. Mandatory Travel Meetings We will hold TWO travel meetings to discuss this season s travel arrangements. It is required that one parent from each family attends one of the meetings. The travel meetings will be on: July 11 th and July 12 th 6:30pm Travel for each competition is NOT covered in your competition fees. You will be responsible for hotels, gas, flights, food and any other expenses incurred at away competitions. There are also Spectator Entry fees for every event ranging from $10- $35 and it is normally cash only.

Additional Finance Information Sibling Discount ½ off Monthly Tuition for each additional Child Uniforms Uniform costs for US Finals, Summit and Worlds teams have not been added into the amounts above as each athlete s uniform needs and expense will vary. Some athletes will not need a new uniform as we are reusing ours from last season. Some may be changing from Junior to Senior or vice versa which will require a new uniform. We WILL be having a uniform swap with buyback and used uniform sales. This will happen over the summer. Level 5 teams (not restricted) WILL have new uniforms this season. Additional Information Skills Camp June 9 th -16 th Skills Camp is MANDATORY for all athletes. Each team will participate in a 3-4 hour block on each day of that week. Specific times will be released at the Team Reveal. Summer Work Weeks June 9 th -16 th (Skills Camp) July 9 th -13 th August 6 th -10 th There are 3 MANDATORY workweeks in the summer. All athletes must be present as this is where we will be learning the routine stunt/tumble sections. Any athlete who misses a workweek will NOT have their spot in the routine secured. Choreography Dates August 24-26, August 31-September 2, September 6-10, Sep 14-16 Each team will be assigned 2-3 days of choreography from the above dates. Exact times/days will be emailed out mid-summer. Choreography is mandatory so please set aside these dates. Hair/Make-Up This year we will be using a high TEASED ponytail with CURLS on the bottom. There will be NO BRAID this season. Allstar cheer athletes must purchase a hairpiece to wear so that all look the same. There are many different companies to purchase from at different price points and we will send an email mid-summer with details on how/when to order. We will offer classes and videos to ensure all athletes look the same. Make-up will be a natural, smoky eye using make-up you purchase on your own. We will be selecting one color lipstick that ALL athletes must use. We will have this color available in our pro shop before competition season or you may purchase on your own. During the week of the Infinity Showcase (November 26 th -30th) athletes will be required to get their hair/make-up approved for competitions. Fundraising We offer plenty of fundraisers throughout the season to help offset the cost of Allstar Cheer and Dance. We offer at least 1 new fundraiser per month. Details for each fundraiser will be emailed out. We offer a special incentive for our returning families- a $50 referral fee will be credited to your account for each NEW athlete you bring to Infinity who participates in the season. Team Parents We select 1 team parent for each Infinity team. Our team parents are the liaison between the coach and the parents. Team parents are in charge of meeting the team at competitions, handing out wristbands, and assisting with team functions and communication. Team Parents are not involved in gym decisions, coaching or accounting issues.
