During the 2018 pool season, we will be under the management of Aquatech, Inc. For more information on Aquatech, Inc., you can check out their web site at www.aquatechpoolmanagement.com. The Meadowlands Swim and Tennis Club is open only to residents of the Meadowlands and their guests. Prior to receiving your membership bands, you must be current on your Home Owners Association dues. In addition, Meadowlands residents are not allowed to come to the pool as a guest. Meadowlands residents must purchase a membership to use the pool. There are three membership categories for the 2018 swim and tennis season. The first category is a family membership for the pool and tennis club, the required membership category for households with more than two people of any age. This membership includes privileges for up to two household adults and all household children. The second category is a twoperson membership for the pool and tennis club, which includes privileges for households with two adult members. If you have more than two adults in your household then you will need to purchase an additional guest pass for each adult. An adult household member is a person living in your house who is over 21 years of age and no longer in school. The third category is a single only membership. This membership includes privileges designed for the household that has only one adult and no children. We are offering a senior discount of 15% for members 60 years old and up. Please include a copy of your driver license if you are requesting this discount. This year we are offering the same prepaid concessions option that we did last year. We will also accept cash for concessions. There continues to be exciting progress with our swim team. The Tsunami Swim Team will be competing in the High Point Swim League. See the enclosed flyer for details on joining the team. MEADOWLANDS SWIM AND TENNIS CLUB MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION May 19, 2018 May 17, 2019 Attention: Membership Committee Please accept my (our) application and 2018 membership fee to join the Meadowlands Swim & Tennis Club. I (We) will abide by the rules and regulations established by the Meadowlands Swim and Tennis Club Committee for the safe operation of the swim and tennis facilities. I (We) understand that my (our) application is for the membership period from May 19, 2018 through May 17, 2019. The pool and tennis club family membership fee this year is $425. This includes two adult household members and all household children. The pool and tennis club fees are $375 for a two-person membership, which includes two adult household members. Again this year we are offering a single household membership for $325. If more than two people live in our house, I am aware that I am required to purchase a family membership. All members are required to wear the membership bands at all times when in the pool area. Membership bands are non-transferable and are only to be used by the family which purchased the pool and tennis membership. I am aware that I am entitled to receive a 15% discount off the total fee (including guest bands) if either of the members are 60 years of age or older by the pool opening date. If applicable, I have included a copy of my license as proof of age. Pay by April 15 th and get a $50 discount off the regular rates plus discounts on guest passes! I am aware that no pool guests (including babysitters, non-household relatives including grandchildren and out-of-town guests) will be allowed in the pool without payment of a guest fee and presentation of a temporary or permanent guest band. You can purchase an unlimited number of permanent guest passes for the pool season. Permanent guest bands are non-transferable and are only to be used by the family, which purchased the permanent guest bands. As in the past, if I join the Swim and Tennis Club on or prior to April 15 th, I will be given a discount of $20 toward the purchase of either a permanent guest band or a package of 10 guest temporary bands. The discount is only available on one of these purchases. There will be no refunds provided for pool and tennis memberships or for the purchase of guest bands. If you have temporary guest bands left from last year, we will honor them this year as well. Summer is just around the corner and it s that time to start getting ready for the swim team. This will be our ninth season. This year we will be teaming up with Laurel Oak and Wallburg Pool. There will be six meets including the League Championship. Swimming in the meets is optional if your child does not wish to participate. All practices and home meets will be held at the Meadowlands pool. Practice schedule Beginning May 21 st Monday 10:00 11:00am and 7:00 8:00pm Tuesday 10:00-11:00am Wednesday 7:45-9:00pm Thursday 10:00 11:00am and 7:00 8:00pm Saturday 9:00 10:00am All morning practices start once Davidson County Schools are out for the summer. The times have been setup to be as flexible as possible for all members of the team knowing it is summer and there are work, vacation and other commitments. We realize you may not be able to make all the practices but we encourage you to attend at least 2 practices each week. We will need a rep. from each family to volunteer at 3 swim meets this summer. Volunteer positions include timers, awarding heat ribbons, stroke and turn judging, ribbons, computer, team mom, clerk of course and concessions. The attached registration form can either be mailed or turned in at one of the in-person registration sessions. The coach has the ultimate discretion to determine if someone has the ability to join the team. The boys and girls will be entered in separate events in all age groups. The age groups are as follows: Jumpers: 5 and up Competitve groups: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18. All participants must swim within their age group. Age will be determined as of June 1 st of that year. Cost for the team this year will be $90 per swimmer. Included in the price will be practices with paid coaches, T-Shirt, ribbons and meet entry fees. Each child will be responsible for their own team swimsuit. Team swimsuits and swim caps are optional but strongly encouraged. Keep in mind that you must be a member of one of the participating pools to be on the swim team.
