Burleigh Juniors will be celebrating all the fantastic work all the mums, wives, partners & grandmothers do in Rugby League this weekend when we host home games on Friday night & Saturday. All teams will be kitted out in the special PINK Burleigh Bears socks & some teams in their PINK jerseys. There will be merchandise & raffles on the day with all funds going to the McGrath Foundation. We encourage all supporters to get on board & wear pink on the day. Good luck to all. We have a large number of club members that have been selected to represent the Kookaburras & Schoolboy Regional teams in carnivals in past weeks & over the next few weeks & during the June/July holidays good luck to all of you & do yourselves & your club proud. Every team has been issued with a book of tickets in the Titans Ultimate football Experience Raffle & sales from these tickets are part of our major club fundraiser for the year to help with player development & administrative running costs for 2014. Teams are encouraged to sell all tickets in their book (only 10) & then any further tickets sold will go directly into team funds. Now we are half way through the season it is a timely reminder that all coaching staff & players are representing the good name of Burleigh Juniors & we expect your best behaviour on & off the field. Anyone who brings our good name into disrepute WILL face disciplinary action. REMEMBER: When you are supporting your team/club to Keep it Positive or it s Pointless. Jason Burkhardt NEW APP Burleigh Bears JRLFC now has an app for your smart phone. You can register with TeamApp online or download the TeamApp app from the app shop. ANZAC DAY 2014 Well done to our Burleigh Players and Parents who participated in the ANZAC day march at James Street Burleigh. You represented our club proudly and we thankyou for your time and efforts. Team photos will be taken on Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th May. Times will posted at the clubhouse. Players are to wear 2014 club socks and shorts and coaching staff will bring Playing jerseys. Extra photos can be ordered at a cost of $10 Each and payable on the day. The club is also doing a Free sausage sizzle for players before & after photos. CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST What a mammoth effort by Managers, Coaching Staff and our dedicated committee members in heat pressing the Shine Lawyers logos on all of our club jerseys. In total 50 sets of Jerseys were kitted out with the new logos - that is approximately over 700 individual jerseys. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM GCDJRL OPERATIONS MANAGER If any complaints are received from now on in regard to the behaviour of League safe staff they will be suspended for a minimum of six week. Coaches and staff are to remain in dugouts unless delivering water or rendering assistance to players. A reminder that Jerseys should never be put in the dryer and that need to remain as a jersey set each week when they are washed rather than individual players taking home their jersey.

Representative Honors - Club football For those that attended Carina s Leo Williams Oval last weekend there is no denying that there was a very high quality of football on display from all the teams. Representative teams from Ipswich, Gold Coast and Brisbane played off in a round robin tournament for both 13 s and 14 s in a South East Queensland Divisional Tournament. The victors in the 13 s were Brisbane White and the victors in 14 s were Brisbane Red. Overall winners were again Brisbane White. This tournament also doubles as the State selection trials for the upcoming State championship being held this year in Cairns. For those that attended Carina s Leo Williams Oval last weekend there is no denying that there was a very high quality of football on display from all the teams.
