ACC S TOP TELEVISED TEAM Eight of Notre Dame s 12 regular season contests will air on either ESPNU, FS1 or Big Ten Network. Notre Dame has more nationally televised games than any other Atlantic Coast Conference program. Notre Dame s first nationally televised game came against the defending national champion Maryland on Big Ten Network at 11 a.m. ET on March 3. The Irish are featured six times on ESPNU with games against Denver (March 10), Virginia (March 17), Ohio State (March 25), Syracuse (March 31) and Duke (April 7) airing on the network. Notre Dame will also appear on FS1 when they travel to Milwaukee to take on Marquette (April 11). The eight regular season national television broadcasts are the most Notre Dame has ever had in a single season. IRISH IN THE POLLS Notre Dame is No. 4 in each of the major three polls this week (USILA, Inside Lacrosse & US Lacrosse Magazine). The Fighting Irish face or have faced four of the top 10 teams from the current USILA rankings. Maryland is No. 2, while Duke (No. 3), Denver (No. 5) and Virginia (No. 10) fill out the rest of the top 10. PRESEASON ALL-ACC Notre Dame placed three players on the Preseason All-ACC Team entering the 2018 season. Senior long-stick midfielder John Sexton, junior short-stick defensive midfielder Drew Schantz and senior face-off man John Travisano, Jr., each earned the honors from the conference s coaches. Also included in the preseason release from the ACC was the annual coaches poll. The Irish were pegged tied for first in the rankings with Duke, as each program earned 17 points. Eighty-two of the goals came from Mikey Wynne (33), Brendan Gleason (25), Ryder Garnsey (20) and Brian Willetts (4), all of whom played in the attack last season.
