Best athlete determined by Sinclair points based on absolute body weight Team awarded according to IWF team scoring, male and female combined PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY: -An athlete participating in a Western Canadian competition must be; Duly affiliated member of his/her P/T Weightlifting Association A member in good standing with his/her P/T Weightlifting Association A citizen of Canada OR possesses a permanent resident status of Canada -Coaches registered to participate in a Western Canadian competition by a P/T Weightlifting Association must be Level # NCCP certified Coaches, team leaders and technical officials registered to participate in a Western Canadian competition by a P/T Weightlifting Association must be; Duly affiliated member of his/her P/T Weightlifting Association; A member in good standing with his/her P/T Weightlifting AssociationSpeakers and Time keepers must be Category or higher referees Technical operators need no referee qualifications There is a limit of athletes per bodyweight category per team. -Team format: Male 8 male athletes total & Female female athletes total Each P/T weightlifting association may enter up to team per gender. Each P/T weightlifting association may enter up to guest lifters above and beyond their chosen team. If a P/T weightlifting Association wishes to bring more than guest lifters they may make a request and it will be at the discretion of the organizing committee for acceptance. The maximum amount of athletes participating at the 0 Western Canadian Weightlifting Championship will be 8. Additional guest lifters might be accepted. The organizing committee will decide on Wednesday March, 0. Each association president will be contacted if additional lifters can be added past the 8 lifters. Priority will be awarded to lifters with the highest marker registered since October 0,0. - Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded for the Total in each category - Best athlete awards for men and women are determined by Sinclair points based on actual bodyweight of the athlete - Best Team will be awarded based on IWF points (men and women combined) In case of a tie:! The team with the largest number of first place totals shall be declared the winner.if still a tie, the team with the largest number of second place totals shall be declared the winner. If still a tie, the team with the most total Sinclair points using the bodyweight category will be declared winner - A zero in the snatch does not eliminate athletes from the competition. Athletes are allowed to continue in the clean and jerk, but do not receive points for the total. Points are earned in the total only. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES PROVINCIAL/TERRITORIAL ASSOCIATIONS: - P/T Weightlifting Associations with participating teams are eligible to submit names of technical officials with certified national level (level ) of higher qualifications wishing to officiate at the championships. - If technical officials are interested in upgrading their Officials Certification during the championships, please indicate it on the Entry Form. Please ensure the address and contact information is made available on the contact form of each technical official so that the committee can forward the technical officials schedule. - Each P/T is responsible for the expense of their selected technical officials -All P/T participating in the championship do so at their own risk. The provinces must undertake full moral and financial responsibility for their delegates regarding their health and in the case of accidental damages.
