KEMPER LAKES GOLF CLUB For more than 35 years, Kemper Lakes Golf Club has been recognized as one of the finest pure golf facilities in the world. During that time period, Kemper Lakes has played host to some of the greatest players in the world on multiple occasions, including the 1989 PGA Championship, four Grand Slam of Golf events, six Champions Tour Events, the U.S. Women s Amateur Public Links Championship, the U.S. Women s Amateur Championship and 26 consecutive Illinois PGA Championships. From 1979 until 2007 Kemper Lakes operated as a public facility. This outstanding golf club will once again be opening its doors to the public by hosting the 2018 KPMG Women s PGA Championship. KPMG WOMEN S PGA CHAMPIONSHIP The KPMG Women s PGA Championship a collaboration between the PGA of America, KPMG and the LPGA Tour continues the rich tradition of the LPGA Championship. Broadcast in partnership with NBC and Golf Channel, the Championship offers a purse among the highest in women s golf. The event combines an annual major golf championship with the KPMG Women s Leadership Summit and an ongoing charitable initiative, the KPMG Future Leaders Program all focused on the development, advancement, and empowerment of women on and off the golf course. SUMMIT & CHARITABLE PROGRAM KPMG WOMEN S LEADERSHIP SUMMIT The KPMG Women s Leadership Summit, in conjunction with the KPMG Women s PGA Championship, is hosted each year on-site during Championship week. The event brings together today s most accomplished leaders in business, politics, media, and sports with the next generation of women leaders to inspire them in their development and advancement into the C-Suite. The distinguished lineup of past speakers includes Dr. Condoleezza Rice (66th U.S. Secretary of State), Amy Hood (Microsoft), Regina Dugan (Facebook), Adena Friedman (NASDAQ), Dick Ebersol (NBC Sports), several Olympic gold medalists and accomplished athletes, and many more inspiring leaders. The day concludes with the presentation of the KPMG Inspire Greatness Award, honoring a current leader and pioneer who has transcended their industry and shown an ongoing commitment to empowering and advancing the next generation of women. In 2016, the award was presented to LPGA Legend and Entrepreneur Annika Sorenstam. The KPMG Women s Leadership Summit will return during 2018 Championship week and will be held on site Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Kemper Lakes Golf Club. KPMG FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAM In 2016, KPMG announced a new charitable initiative, the KPMG Future Leaders Program, focused on the development of future generations of women leaders, and named 66th U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice as its ambassador to help facilitate the program. Funded by proceeds from the KPMG Women s PGA Championship and KPMG Women s Leadership Summit, the program affords top female high school seniors the opportunity to enhance their personal growth through a $10,000 college scholarship (per year for four years), a leadership development retreat at Stanford University, a mentoring relationship with a woman business leader, and an introduction to golf. Applicants to the program must demonstrate a proven track record of academic excellence, leadership potential, strong community involvement, and financial need.
