OPEN SESSION ITEMS President s Comments: Congratulations to the new AMBs Shuaib was transferred to California so he will not be able to be an ABM. Public Forum: Stacey Berger (Brian Bickell Foundation): Pitbull foundation Free vet clinics Calendar fundraiser Turn abused dogs into therapy dogs League Reports: NIHL: CSDHL: NWHL: SWSL: Meeting with board for teams. Typical meeting. Went better than years past. Should know by the end of the week. League play ends this weekend. Hosting mites. SW will pay for score sheet people. 34 slots. Hockey Director Report: CS meeting went well. Meeting with CUHL, they didn t like our hybrid approach because of the cost to register for USA Hockey is more than AAU. We need to make it as easy as possible for mite parents. AAU league fee is $300. New approach to skills in the fall, skills instructors attend a split practice/skills session. ½ hour of skills, ½ hour practice. Treasurer s Report: Mar-15 Fiscal Year to Date Mar-15 Main Drivers July-Mar Main Drivers Total Revenue $116K Fees-112K $ 1,749,685 Fees-$1,569K, Fund Raising-$86K Total COGs $10K Injury Credits $ 139,069 Early Bird-$56K, Refunds/Discounts-$56K Total Expense $154K Ice-96K, Player Dev-20K, Tourney-12K $ 1,506,527 Ice-$839K, Pucks/App/Refs-$186K, Coaches-$155K, Net Ordinary Income -$48K $ 104,088 Net Income -$47K $ 107,434 Manager Coordinator Report: Registrar: Talking to NGIN regarding changes for fall. Teams are getting loose on rosters. Board of Directors Minutes 05/11/2015 - Page 2

Ice Scheduler: Volunteer Coordinator: Committee Updates: Communications: Player Development: Nominating: Apparel: Apparel table open for last time Tuesday 6:30 to 8:30. Spend $25 or more and get 20% off order. Apparel budget - 2014-2015 Apparel spent $19,032 on table items. Our sales for that same period were $20,070. That sales number does include some items (socks, extra garment bags, etc.) that were not invoiced under "table sales". Very difficult to separate and track those types of sales. Special thanks to Chris Von Ruden and Holli Bain for their help in ordering and running the table. Their efforts show in the numbers. Uniform standards - several players played the fall season with a non-standard helmet color (white or royal blue). It is unfair that most players changed or bought new helmets while others felt it unnecessary to do so. Apparel would like to have it known that players will not be able to play in games if they do not have a black or dark navy helmet color as required by our uniform standards. Apparel items including jerseys, warm-ups & bags will now be ordered through Jerry's. Will end partnership with B&R for these items. Apparel looking at some type of online/website ordering with Jerry's or another company for table type items including sweatshirts, t-shirts, polo's, etc. 2nd UA order delivered and handed out. Special thanks to Holli Bain for organizing both of the UA orders this season. Bantam/Midget practice jerseys - 2nd order received and handed out or traded jerseys. Fall socks - home sock will be new AK sock with new color pattern. Most players will need new home sock. Away sock color pattern is unchanged. Apparel would like to have one or both pairs of socks included in the budget for all members for fall registration. This will make the transition easy and we can force everyone to match to keep our uniform standards. Technology: Had a committee meeting. Took inventory. Wendi will be doing registration components. Summer registration will be up soon. Board of Directors Minutes 05/11/2015 - Page 3

Strategic Planning: Fundraising: Alumni: Tryout: Discussion/Action Items: Girls locker room policy, change reference to level coordinator to Rules & Ethics. Jeff Iwinski motions to adopt girls locker room policy (with change noted above), Dave Struwing 2 nd, motion carries (8-0). Discussion/Action Items: CLOSED SESSION ITEMS Mite Hockey: Need a Hurricanes logo, May 26-27 mite meeting at 7:00PM Summer programming finalized (see attached) and should be on website shortly. Fall programming: Tom had a meeting with Paul last Friday. They re having a problem negotiating with Josh. Paul thinks the level of instruction that Josh provides is bad and he can do a better job. At this point we are happy with Josh and what he has provided us. Revised rules and regs next meeting. Update on 3 rd sheet: Local private school has approached Paul for the construction and management of a rink on their property. Paul would consider this our 3 rd Sheet if it goes through. Cyclones would get premium ice time. Monica has told Paul that the FP board is up for a 3 rd sheet at FVIA. Any money that we contribute would come back to us as reduced ice costs. Goal would be to open the 3 rd sheet for the 2016/2017 season. Board of Directors Minutes 05/11/2015 - Page 4

Jeff Lietz proposes to do away with the raffle for the next 2 years and replace it with a fundraiser to fund the 3 rd sheet. Each team would be responsible for finding 3 corporate sponsors. Each player would have to raise $1,200 between August and October, when the shooting would take place. Closed Committee Reports: Finance: Strategic Planning: Bylaws: Rules & Ethics: Treasurer: Old Business: New Business: Brian Bickell foundation: Joren was asked to go back to Stacey and find out how much of a donation she would be looking for from the Cyclones. Dave Struwing motioned, Joren Kaiser 2 nd, meeting adjourned at 10:40PM. Board of Directors Minutes 05/11/2015 - Page 5
