Which factors would influence your preference on a summer training venue? Travel Time and Distance ranked the highest with 56% of respondents listing this as their 1 st preference. I would prefer an outdoor 50m pool, 28% of responds listed this as their 1 st preference.

OVERALL - TAKING ALL PREFERENCES INTO ACCOUNT. Travel Time and Distance scored the highest with 4.88 I would prefer an outdoor 50m pool scored 4.68 I would prefer an indoor 50m pool scored 3.76 **The score is a weighted average. Question 2 If a suitable summer training venue is available, but not at the current Armadale master's evening training times (Tuesday and Thursday 6.30 to 7:30pm) would you prefer? Train on a Monday ranked the highest with 32% of respondents listing this as their 1 st preference. Later training times, start after 7:30pm weeknights 24% of respondents listed this as their 1 st preference. OVERALL - TAKING ALL PREFERENCES INTO ACCOUNT. Train on a Monday scored 3.60 Train on a Wednesday scored 3.60 Willing to give up a Tuesday night swim Scored 2.84 Question If a suitable summer training venue is available, but not at the current Armadale master's Saturday (8:30 to 9:30am) training times, what would you prefer? An earlier Saturday training time, ranked highest with 76% of respondents listing this as their first preference. I would like to try a Sunday training session, 16% of respondents listed this as their 1st preference. OVERALL - TAKING ALL PREFERENCES INTO ACCOUNT. An earlier Saturday training time, scored 3.60 I would like to try a Sunday training session, scored 2.52 A later Saturday training time scored 2.52

Question 4 If the club trains in a 25m pool, over the course of the approximate 18 to 24 month re-model of Armadale aquatic centre, which option would you have a preference for in summer. (1 being your first preference, 5 being your last preference) Fortnightly Saturday swims at Coogee ranked highest with 40% of respondents listing this as their 1st preference. No training sessions in open water, train on Saturdays in a 25m pool, 32% of respondents listed this as their 1 st preference. OVERALL - TAKING ALL PREFERENCES INTO ACCOUNT. Fortnightly Saturday swims at Coogee scored 3.80 Weekly Saturday swims at Coogee scored 3.36 No training sessions in open water, train on Saturdays in a 25m pool, scored 3.04

Question 5 Currently the club does not pay for lane hire at Armadale aquatic centre. When the club swims elsewhere, such as Cannington, the club must pay a lane hire fee. During our 18 to 24 month absence from Armadale aquatic centre, the club will need to meet the financial cost of lane hire, this will severely deplete the club's funds. If required would you be willing to...? 68% of members are happy to pay a $50 Levy. 32% of members would make a regular commitment to a Bunning Sausage Sizzles COMMENTS Respondents were asked to leave a comment (optional) Donate a prize to sat raffles and support them. What happens when members dont help at the sausage sizzle do thay pay the $50. On top of the $50 levy then maybe an additional $1 per swimmer per session to keep money coming in. Also has the club looked at applying for a grant from the City of Armadale as, through no fault of the AMSC, have had to look elsewhere for swimming sessions at an additional cost to the club. Surely the City of Armadale would look at supporting the club through this difficult time. Don't think we'd need to do 2-3 each if every member was required to attend! Happy to do both how about attend a garage boot sale. Question 6 How concerned are you about where the club will be training over the next 18 to 24 months? Twenty five respondents are 57/100 concerned about where they will be training.

Question 7 Do you have any suggestions for the club in relation to the Armadale aquatic centre closure? COMMENTS Respondents were asked to leave a comment (optional) Keep as committed as they have been Just outdoor swimming in summer and easier the better. But will do whatever the majority wants but very happy to pay lane hire With regards to pool choice (question 1) I am happy with whatever we decide to go with - whatever is the most viable financially and time wise for the club. It's possible that we may lose members with the Armadale Pool closure and would suggest a membership drive and also, depending on what the pool arrangements are going to be - suggest more social interaction with members. Difficult to answer without having background information about the situation with the pool arrangements. Also, I found the questionnaire difficult for the same reason no Happy to go with the flow and will attend when l can. None For those having already having Fettes withdrawal symptoms, don t fret! He s gone on a Science Safari to Dirk Hartog Island to assist the Department of Parks and Wildlife with their important research and rehabilitation work specifically with the Banded Hare Wallaby! He ll be back to humour us in 12 or so days.

HUGE THANKYOU Our last two fund raising ventures were very successful, many thanks for all those that attended the movie night and helped out at the Bunnings sausage sizzle. Amounts raised clear profit for the club: MOVIE NIGHT $281.00 BUNNINGS SIZZLE $1202.36 The Saturday raffles have also been a huge success. For the time being we will be suspending them due to our recent fundraising efforts. Many thanks for all members who have contributed to a wonderful and varied array of prizes, and those that each week coughed up the raffle ticket money. The total raised from our Saturday raffles is $1774.25. A superb result! I am pleased to acknowledge that Armadale City Council have contributed some funds to the club to offset our lane hire costs. As a club we are very pleased with the support that the council has provided and look forward to a continued bipartisan relationship to encourage masters swimming within the Armadale community.
