SAFETY Performance Driving is PRECISION Driving Safety is not a thing Safety is the decisions YOU make! 10 MPH speed limit in the pits FIRST GEAR! Follow instructions of the Grid Marshal, Starter and all other safety crew Helmets on and strapped, Seat belts fastened Windows down, Sunroofs closed Show your wrist band every time you prepare to enter the track
SAFETY Entering / Exiting the Track Track entry from the hot pits is critical for safety DO NOT CROSS the painted Blend Line, as there may be High Speed traffic on your left Entering Cars must stay on the Right Edge of the track all the way through Turn 1 Track Exit Pit entry is on driver s right before the Bus Stop. Fist out & up to let others know you are pitting even on the checkered flag lap. Track Exit is in a passing zone give clear signals. Slow down! Clear the paddock entry area before dropping off your instructor / passenger.

First Session Locate and Acknowledge the Track Lights & the Track Marshals with Flags Know your group s Passing Zones and the Passing Protocol 1st Lap of your First Session: No Passing! (Yellow Flag) Your Tires and the Track are Cold Your Brain is Cold but your Turbos are strong! So Be Cautious! Be aware of changing conditions on track Four Wheels Off or Spin On Track? Pit for Safety Check (Black Flag)

SLOW VEHICLE Pass with Caution GO TO PITS ALL; or only Car # if shown LAST LAP SURFACE GO TO PITS Mechanical If leaking fluids, get off the driving surface!
April, 2017 Safety (& Courtesy) Point-By Passing Car being Passed YOU control the pass Point BOLDLY out the window Only give a Point-By in approved passing zones Mirror Tap prior to passing zone (optional courtesy) Complete the turn - Don t pinch the exit* Drive your Normal line be predictable! Don t brake Do LIFT off the throttle as required For multiple passes: A separate & complete Point-By for EACH Car *pinch = sharpen the turn, i.e., fail to track out completely

Only pass in an approved passing zone Only pass if the lead car gives you a Point-By Violators will be black-flagged for passing violations For multiple passes, wait for a separate Point By for each passing car ALWAYS Pass on the side that is being pointed to Move back onto your line after safely passing. Give the car being passed room. DO NOT CUT THEM OFF! Wave Off and do not make the pass if it cannot be completed safely be courteous

In the Paddock SLOW speeds in paddock! 10 mph (First Gear) No ALCOHOL or DRUG use (drivers & guests) No DRONES (UAV) Protect the asphalt in the paddock No fueling except on the concrete pad near fuel pump Use pads under jack stands Use pads under trailer landing gear Let us or the track know about oil spills and they will clean it with oil absorbent Don t litter. When you see trash, pick it up and put it in the provided bins.
Spring Mountain Members Audi Club is the guest of private Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch and it s members. Please Welcome the Spring Mountain Members who will be driving with us today. Members are welcome in the X & Y Sessions (Instructor Groups) there are Eight X & Y Sessions Daily The member s track entrance and exit (by the clubhouse & tower) will be closed all weekend. All members must have an Audi Club wristband and will enter the track through the Audi Club grid in the lower paddock, and exit the track before the bus stop.

Be early to Grid and meetings this weekend. If you are on time, you are LATE! Audi Club Lunch will be here at the C Building classroom starting 11:30. (Members lunch in the Clubhouse)
