JUNIOR TENNIS CAMP 2017 Ages 7-16 June 26 - August 18 The goal of the Rye Tennis Academy Summer Junior Tennis Camp is help students of all levels maximize their potential for performance and have fun doing it. Our program provides a comprehensive tennis education including mechanics, stroke production, strategy, fitness/conditioning and good sportsmanship. Movement and mor skills will be developed by other activities such as soccer, basketball and ping pong! All camp programs are taught by our full-time experienced professional staff. * New * 30-minute private lessons are now offered during camp hours. Please contact Camp Direcr for more information. 8 & UNDER MINI-CAMP FOR TINY SHOTS AGES 3-8 June 26 - August 17 AM Session: Mon - Thurs 9:00-11:00 am PM Session: Mon - Thurs 1:00-3:00 pm (Eight one-week sessions) Our Mini-Camp program will develop basic hand-eye coordination and tennis skills through games, drills, and movement/running drills. All classes are taught on shorter courts using smaller racquets and red balls. It s a fast way LEARN TENNIS AND HAVE FUN! Class time includes a 15 minute snack time and ice pops on Thursdays!! USTA JUNIOR TOURNAMENT/ HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY TRAINING CAMP June 26 - August 17 Mon - Thurs 2:00-4:00 pm This program is for the serious junior player who desires instruction which provides all the components of tennis training necessary compete in Sectional/USTA events and High School Varsity teams. Our professional staff has numerous years of teaching and coaching experience, as well as playing experience at the p USTA National and Division I collegiate level. Special Doubles Strategy Training. Learn from our Pros who have coached Adult USTA National Championship teams and New York State High School Girls Doubles Champions for 3 years in a row! There will be no make-ups given for missed lessons unless cancelled by the club. Submitting this application does not guarantee placement. RRC retains the rights any phographs and videos taken of students be used for publicity or advertising. BE PART OF OUR MITL Junior Team Program! Team Competition Match Analysis Professional Training Fun! The MITL Junior Team competition is a great way practice skills in a competitive situation under the guidance of our professional staff in a supportive team environment. Age divisions include: 9 & under, 11 & under, 13 & under, and 16 & under. The season runs from late June the end of July (*It is not necessary be available during the entire season). Members are eligible participate in the season-ending MITL urnament at the end of July as well as the Awards Banquet in early August. Membership fee ($100) is required and includes all home / away matches, coaching, refreshments and club membership from May 1st - August 18th. Each team member is required participate in our team practices. Practice schedule is as follows (from June 26 - July 28): 9 & under: Wednesdays 2-4pm 11 & under: Mondays 2-4pm 13 & under: Tuesdays 2-4pm 16 & under: Wednesdays 4-6pm Tryouts will be held in early spring, dates TBD.
