General Information ENTRY FEES: $30.00 per class unless otherwise indicated. A $10.00 post entry fee will be applied per class on all entries received or changed after the entries close 48 hours prior to show. Enter on Horseshowing.com Fax entries to 800-878-4427 Or you can download an entry blank from website at www.tshcamp.com. Entry blank available from Horse Show Tab. Phone entries: 631-692-6840, 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM, only if fax unavailable. No numbers will be given out without fees paid in full, horse, rider, owner, trainer identification number, and a signed entry blank by the exhibitor and/or authorized agent and trainer. The show reserves the right to vary officials as well as to combine, cancel, or divide classes if entries so warrant. Classes with insufficient entries may be cancelled or combined. SCRATCHES/REFUNDS: Scratches must be made in the office prior to the start of the division. If rider scratches at the horse show, a fee of $35 will be charged. STALLS: A limited number of permanent stalls with stall doors are available for $30.00 per day. Initial bedding provided. You must provide hay, feed and any additional shavings. Please call in advance to reserve. SCHOOLING SESSIONS: $25 For the comfort and safety of our exhibitors and their horses all schooling in our show rings and schooling rings will be fully monitored. You must enter the show and wear a back number in order to school. A grounds fee and schooling fee will be charged. Schooling sessions must start at 7AM in order to finish on time. Open-ticketed schooling in our main ring - $25 plus grounds fee. Horse must be entered with a back number. Ring will be available whenever classes are not running during the day. ASTM Approved protective headgear must be worn when riding anywhere on the grounds. Anyone riding on the grounds must have a signed entry blank in the office. Jumping orders: Will be established with starter at each ring. Trophies and eight ribbons are to be awarded in each class Championships and Reserve ribbons are offered in all divisions according to USEF rules. Membership: It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have current membership for any and all classes they are entering. Measurements are by appointment: please contact show office 24 hours prior to show to set up an appointment with the vet. Pony must be entered in the show that day to be measured. USEF NOTES: All exhibitors in the Pony, Junior, Children s Hunter, and Amateur Every class offered herein which is covered by the specifications of the current USEF Rule Book Zone II, and the LIHSAA will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.

Motorized Vehicle Statement- Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.(if your competition bans motorized vehicles, please contact our office for further instruction.) Schooling rings are sand footing approximately 100 x 120. Horse show rings are all sand. Sharps container will be located outside show office. Prize money will be awarded day of show and will be deducted from entry blank. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider,driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4 H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. Member Long Island High Score Awards Association. All points won at this show will count toward the annual Long Island High Score Awards. In order to be eligible for an award in any LIHSAA section, the horse, pony or rider must have shown in that section in at least six member shows. USHJA Zone Support Fee: Effective 12-01-09 a $2.00 USHJA Zone Support Fee is to be charged to each horse entered at a Federation Licensed Hunter and/or Jumper competition. This fee shall be collected by the competition and remitted to the USHJA in accordance with GR1210.

OPPORTUNITY DIVISIONS This is a great OPPORTUNITY for riders to compete without being members and paying fees. Opportunity Classes- do not need to be a member of USHJA & USEF. Horses entered only in these classes are exempt from the Federation Fee, including the Equine Drugs and Medication Fee; are not required to have Horse Identification (HID) or Recording number, but are to list the HID or Recording number if the horse has been assigned this number. Riders/drivers/handler entered only in these classes are exempt from the Federation membership requirements and are not required to pay a non-member fee but are required to list the Federation membership number if the participant is a member. Horses, Ponies and Riders may not cross enter in to any other classes at the same competition. OPPORTUNITY BEGINNER EQUITATION- Open to riders who have not won a ribbon at a recognized horse show where fences exceed 2 0. Riders may not enter any other classes requiring them to jump at this show except Advanced Beginner. Riders may trot cross rails. Open to juniors. 5 Beginner Walk Trot 6 Beginner Walk Trot Canter 7,8 Beginner X-Rails OPPORTUNITY ADVANCED BEGINNER Open to riders who have not won a ribbon at a recognized horse show where fences exceed 2 0. Riders may not enter any other classes requiring them to jump at this show except Beginner Equitation Division. Course will include a change of direction. Open to juniors. 1 Advanced Beginner Walk Trot 2 Advanced Beginner Walk Trot Canter 3,4 Advanced Beginner Equitation over fences 18 verticals LEADLINE Open to riders 7 years old and under who have not competed in any other division at a horse show. ACADEMY DIVISIONS This is a great opportunity for riders to compete without being members and paying fees. Academy Classes- do not need to be a member of USHJA & USEF. Horses entered only in these classes are exempt from the Federation Fee, including the Equine Drugs and Medication Fee; are not required to have Horse Identification (HID) or Recording number but are to list the HID or Recording number if the horse has been assigned this number. Trainers must have to provide USEF membership numbers. Limited to horses and ponies that are used regularly in a lesson program. Great practice classes for IEA Teams. ACADEMY EQUITATION 2 17,18 Academy Fences 19 Academy Equitation WTC ACADEMY MINI SHORT STIRRUP DIVISION Open to riders under 12 years of age. Riders are not eligible to enter any other division at the show. Once a rider has won a blue ribbon in Beginner they may not compete in this division. Choose 4 of 5 classes. 122 Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot, 123 Mini Short Stirrup Walk, Trot, Circle 124 Mini Short Stirrup Walk, Trot, Indiv Canter 125 Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot, and Single Cross Rail ACADEMY MINI LONG STIRRUP EQUITATION Open to riders 12-18 who are not entered in any other division at this show. Once a rider has won a blue ribbon in Beginner they may not compete in this division. LIHSAA JUNIOR EQUITATION DIVISION Entry Fee $45 per class Sec A- Horse (Main Ring) Sec B- Pony (Hunter Ring) Open to Junior Riders on horses who are not competing at the same show in any hunter or equitation class in which the fences exceed 3 3. To be shown over a minimum of 8 fences the required height including a combination and at least two changes of direction after the first fence. Two or more tests of the top four competitors are required. The same horse must be used in all phases. Only one rider per horse. Three riders must complete the course in order for points to count. ACADEMY CLASSES 2017-18 Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities (LIHSSRD) Riders will be judged on their performance during each class. Judging criteria consists of rider balance, seat, use of aids, horsemanship, control of horse, ring etiquette, safety, sportsmanlike conduct, suitability of the horse/rider match and the position of the rider. Judges may ask for posting trot, sitting trot, and two point position and all USEF beginner tests. Riders unable to perform any task asked of them due to physical limitations may describe the action to the judge. Riders must have a documented disability, and submit an information sheet with proof of eligibility with their first entry of the season with membership fee of $25. Riders who have competed in recognized divisions are ineligible. The top 10 riders in each division will be invited to compete in the finals at the 2010 Hampton Classic Horse Show. Class fee is $35 per class. All LIHSSRD entries with payment must be received by the HorseAbility office 1 week prior to the show.
