Extra wood, supplies, maybe old tools? We have several new turners that are starting to build up their shop. George Carr and Larry Morgan will be demoing spindle-turning Tuesday night. We would like to have everyone bring ideas and/or projects to share using spindle-turning. Bring your ideas via photos, magazine or internet articles, or just a sketch to share. Sure to bead a covey experience! I just read a great article called Ten Principles of Clean Cutting in the February Issue of American Woodturner. Principle 1: Tool Sharpness- Sharp tools give clean cuts; dull tools do not. None of the other principles matter much if your tool isn t sharp, so check your tool sharpness first. Bring your tools to the meeting and we will have club members ready to give you one-on-one help with sharpening before the meeting. For next month, please submit to Brock any interesting articles or tip that you run across, and we can include it in the newsletter for everyone to see. Robert VanAntwerp
