BSPS affiliated classes, run under BSPS rules. BSPS Affiliation number: 09/18 This Show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Premier League, B.S.P.S. Black Country Saddles Best Rider, B.S.P.S. Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge and B.S.P.S. Summer Championship Show. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (BSPS) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of the BSPS, are subject to the constitution and rules of the BSPS, including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. This Show is a qualifier for the RIHS. Only one pony in each of the Pretty Polly Heritage Lead Rein and First Ridden, Pretty Polly Heritage Mixed Breeds Ridden or Open Heritage Lead Rein and First Ridden, Open Heritage Ridden, Nursery Stakes, Open WHP and Intermediate WHP Classes qualifiers and the highest placed (not already qualified) from the first 3 ponies placed in each class will qualify. Owners and rider must be B.S.P.S. members and animals must be registered with the B.S.P.S., before the date of the show, to compete in classes with R.I.H.S. qualification. Ponies that have been placed 1 st in the Open Heritage Classes will qualify for the BSPS WOW Factor ( Winner of Winners ) at the B.S.P.S. Summer Championship Show. NPS GENERAL RULES All NPS affiliated classes are judged under NPS rules.qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members, but only ponies owned by adult Qualifying or Life NPS members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition. The highest placed pony owned by a NPS members in each class go forward to the final. Qualification may go no further then 3 rd Place. Silver Medal Rosettes can only be won by ponies owned by NPS Qualifying or Life Members. NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Partbreds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern. The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. From 2015 all qualifying ponies will receive a qualification card. The Owner s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the 5

NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. This class will be judged as a whole but all ponies will be brought in and walk and then the class will be divided for the go round into small and large breeds, the two sections will then be lined up together to do the individual show and conformation and the result will be decided on the highest scores achieved. Classes must be confined to Registered Ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration (i.e. foals) 2. Three-year-old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. All entire males aged 2 years and over must display a stallion disc. 3. There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 yrs old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes. Children under 12 yrs old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes.
