Karen has opened late registration for all ages, but through AUG1 it will only create a wait list for us -- and then we can let people in one at a time to fill out brackets. I see this as a big operational advance. Big thanks, Karen! If anyone gets inquiries about late Micro registration, you can tell them we've got a running wait list, and send them here: http://www.nazarethsoccer.org/default.aspx? tabid=846138 Micro rosters are half-done. I'm working on recruiting a few more coaches to cover our larger fall numbers. I owe George jersey+sock orders by month's end, so I'll be churning toward that goal when I get back to my desk. Sent an email to Rob B summarizing Micro Fall trainer/expert needs, but we have yet to talk it through. Marcos has been doing an excellent job with the Micro Camp summer program. We have some wrinkles to work out, but I haven't heard any negative feedback. Lots of positive impressions. o 40 kids showing up for summer training o Have enough coaches for good coach/player ratio o Have held a few Academy only sessions too

o Fall schedule for Academy should be coming soon o Rising U7s will need some additional coaches Gerry and Deo will be running five hour-long Micro Camp sessions each on Thursday evenings starting at the end of June and through August. I promised them each $50 per session ($500 total). I haven't been home to see my mail, but I expect the Borough Council approved my request to host two or three Food Trucks on Sunday OCT15 for the NSC U7+U8 Academy Festival at Essroc. I wrote a letter to the Council then visited their July "Workshop" to make this request. There would be a bit of paperwork necessary, plus a permit fee of $25 per truck. Council was worried about trash, which I said we'd manage. I think the Council stipulated, however, that the trucks would need to be parked in the Essroc lot, which is unfortunate, since they are aware that the lot is filled to capacity for our bigger events. I would welcome input/discussion on this topic; in lieu of other opinions, I would lean to declining to pursue the trucks, unless the Council will allow us to park the trucks on an adjacent street. Will need another toilet for festival Side note: I removed Dany O'Rourke from this email thread. As a courtesy, let's try to make sure we remove him from our outgoing emails. Summer program is an experiment a neighborhood type environment o U7/U8 play together o U6/U5 play together o Start with volunteer micro coaches Weekly sign ups o Good opportunities for kids who haven t played before o 27 U7/U8 o 15 U6/U5 Review Micro Fall schedule Still waiting on Academy festival A lot of U7 and U8 players 2017 parking was better at ESSROC this summer A new paint liner being donated Don t need additional bow nets Ideas: provided hats to veteran coaches Rob & Marcos are confident in training the Academy teams o John DeMarco still recommends using paid trainers for advice Will continue to accept registrations until late July o Keep open as long as possible Rob Berkowitz Not present Registrar to provide Rob the camp numbers New / Other Business

BMYSL Meeting July 6, 2017 o Have Registrar attend next meeting. Will have a representative for registration system there. o Last missed meeting is forgiven due to late time/date change so many clubs missed the meeting. o Registration system changed: Will more mirror the travel leagues Fees for first year ( 17-18) are free Link for coaches to enter player data (link to teambuilder) or registrar can do it Can print player passes o o o Verify and track birth certificates (birth certificates to be uploaded next year) Roster sizes limited (system set at 25 for U12 and under, 30 for U13 and above). Of course your teams should not be this big, but this allows for double rostering of players.
