Steps to putting together a good 4 H Project Record Book There have been questions concerning the exhibit guidelines for 4 H record notebooks. Following are the basic guidelines. Of course, 4 H members are encouraged to add whatever they need to enhance and complete the notebook. 1. Obtain a nice folder, notebook or binder to put your papers in. 2. Fill out the 4 H Project Record form. Type or neatly write in black or blue ink. 3. Put in Your 4 H Story. 4. Put in picture pages. Write captions next to pictures explaining what you are doing in the picture. 5. For animal projects, feed and medical records should be kept as well. 6. Add anything that would enhance your notebook or convey what you learned in your 4 H project. Bouncy Balls You Will Need: Glue Food coloring Water Borax Cornstarch Craft sticks Cups Here s How: 1. Pour 1 tablespoon of glue into one cup add a drop of food coloring and stir with a craft stick 2. In a second cup, combine 2 tablespoons of water and ½ teaspoon of borax together and mix with another craft stick. 3. Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and ½ teaspoon of the borax solution to the glue and let stand a minute 4. Stir with the craft stick until fully mixed together and the mixture becomes very difficult to stir. 5. Mold the ball in your hands.
