Handlers in IN-Hand classes ages 14 years and under, must wear a correctly secured current British Standard skull cap or riding hat. It is the exhibitors responsibility to ensure they are present in the ring at the start of the class. Refunds of class fees will not be given if exhibitors miss their class. The Judges decision is final. The judge may withhold any prize where there is an evident want of merit. Riders of stallions must be aged 12 years + for small breeds and 14 years + for large breeds. Objections Any objections to be made in writing to the Secretary with a deposit of 30.00 cash, which will be returned if the objection is upheld. All objections must be made within 30 minutes of the class taking place. The Officials and Council of the NCPA accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the Showground, car parks or approaches. All entries are subject to these conditions. Exhibitors alone are solely responsible for the accuracy and eligibility of their entries. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied with the correct fee. In the event of an entry proving incorrect, (whether by mistake or otherwise), the entry fee will not be returned. An Exhibitor may not exhibit a pony / horse bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, their immediate family or their employer. The Committee reserves the right to expel from the class or Showground any animal not considered to be under control, especially where a danger to the public could be created. The Committee reserves the right to cancel, amalgamate or divide any class should entries so warrant. No substitute or nomination entries will be allowed. In the event of the Show being cancelled by events beyond our control, a 5.00 administration fee will be deducted from each Exhibitor. All persons entering the Showground must have personal third party insurance. This Show operates under the NCPA Child and Vulnerable Persons Protection Policy. Show canes and whips must not be more than 30 inches long. Ponies / horses must leave the ring at walk. ALL RIDERS must wear hats which comply to BS4472, 6473 and for BSPS classes, EN1384, PAS015 or PAS accredited while mounted, whether exhibiting or not. Lead Rein Classes: Ponies to be shown in a snaffle bridle and the lead rein to be attached to the nose band on which it must remain whilst the pony is in the ring. Whilst in the ring, the pony must be led at all times. First Ridden Classes: Ponies to be shown in a suitable bridle. No cantering allowed except for individual show. Foals must accompany mares in the ring and be at least three weeks old on the day of the Show. Mountain and Moorland ponies must be shown in their natural state and must be registered with their respective Breed Society, and the registration number quoted on the entry form. All Stallions and Colts must be licenced as stipulated by their relevant breed society and must handled by a person over 14 years of age and be adequately bitted and under control. No litter to be left on the Showground. CLEANING OUT HORSEBOXES & TRAILERS IS STRICTLEY FORBIDDEN. All Exhibitors must be wearing the allocated number for the Exhibit when entering the ring; Dogs must be on a lead and supervised at all times. Handlers and Grooms must be appropriately dressed. Anyone found to be mistreating a horse or pony may be asked to leave the show ground, and reported to the appropriate body. Qualifications NORTHERN COUNTIES PONY ASSOCIATION PONY of the YEAR The Pony of the Year Show will be held in September 2014. All those who qualify, to enter must be a current member of the N.C.P.A. and for membership forms please send a s.a.e. to N.C.P.A. Office, 11 Mawdsley Close, Formby, LiverpoolL37 8DJ; or download at www.thencpa.co.uk NCPA Star Rosettes will be awarded in classes 7,14,24,39. Members must enter the ring wearing their NCPA badge, and be in possession of their CURRENT YEAR s Membership Card. NCPA Registered rosettes will be awarded in classes 38, 43, 45, 47. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society ( B.S.P.S. ), and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to the Rules of the B.S.P.S., including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S. This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Black Country Saddles Best Rider of the Year. The Best Rider in the Open Heritage Lead Rein, First Ridden and to the best rider 25years and under in the Heritage Ridden will receive a Card and qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championships Show. This show is also a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League and BSPS Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge. This Show is a qualifier for the 2014 B.S.P.S. Championships Show, to be held at Arena UK. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize-winners in the Heritage Classes will qualify, for the B.S.P.S. Championships Show, provided the animal is registered in accordance with Rules 23 and 28 and ridden by a BSPS member. This Show is affiliated to the Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both the owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete, but in order to qualify they must both be Showing Members and the horse/pony must be Registered with the Society BEFORE this Show for the qualification to be valid; Membership Cards and Qualification Cards must be produced in the ring; the latter beingsigned by the Judge in two places. Stallion I.D.Discs MUST be worn in the ring. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 28th-30th August 2014. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS(UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers 18 22 & 24, 25, 27 & 28. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Members Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings. All stallions entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). Stallion ID Discs MUST be worn in the ring. All Champions and Reserve Champions at this show will receive a Golden Ticket which entitles them to a free entry to the 50 th Jubilee Pony of the Year Show Golden Ticket Finals. 1,000 prize money at the finals in both In Hand and Ridden sections. Classes 23 & 26 are qualifying classes for the TGCA National Championship show to be held 19 th 20th September 2014 at the Only Grounds Equestrian Centre, Warwickshire. All stallions four years old and over must be licensed with the TGCA prior to the show in order to qualify for the TGCA National Championships. The highest placed junior rider and the highest placed exhibitor eligible for the restricted classes must present their cards for signature by the judge to take part in the junior and restricted finals classes. This Show is a qualifier for Equifest 2014 to be held at East of England Showground, Peterborough. The 2 highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant final M&M In-hand, Riding Pony Breeding, Open M&M, M&M Lead Rein, M&M First Ridden, Ridden Hacks, M&M WHP, SP, SP LR, SP FR, SHP, WHP, Cobs, Hunter Weights, PBA Ridden and Ridden Coloureds, Intermediate Show Riding Type, Intermediate Show Hunter Type, Riding Horse, Small Ridden Hunter. This Show is a qualifier for the TSR Riders Championships. 1st & 2nd riders qualify and can choose which final they go to, either TSR Gala Show, 19th & 20th July, Onley EC, Rugby OR Wales and South West Riders Final, 6th September at SWPA Champ Show, Monmouth OR Scottish Riders Final, 13th & 14th September, Grand Slam Show, Ingliston EC, Bishopton.
