Pursuit-Sprint Race Yes it s different yes it is my creation yes if you don t like how it works out you can come to me and voice your displeasure and I will take the abuse. The set up will be a handicapped start within each category. The stagger will be based on performances in previous TT s with a bit of road race influence. This may mean some riders starting in small groups and some as individuals depending on ability. If and when you get caught from someone behind you, you are not eliminated. The winner is still the first person to cross the line. So you could get caught recover hang with the group or person and still win the sprint at the end. As one of the riders starting last obviously you will have to be in full TT mode to track down everyone and as you catch people encourage them to work with you. The thinking on this is it gives more riders a chance to be in the action and have a shot at a top spot. If a group can form and work together then they may be able to hold off the big guns from behind and pull the upset. It will also encourage quick thinking and tactics. Food and Beverages With regret, we will not be able to provide t-shirts this year. We do however intend on providing a food and beverage area again. Within this area will be fruit, snacks, pizza in a couple different waves and a variety of refreshments. We are also making an effort to provide Tim Hortons coffee to parents. This area is open to racers and parents at no charge, but we ask you to use some level of courtesy and ensure everyone has an opportunity to enjoy this courtesy.
