Dear Sponsors, Animal House Shelter is a non profit 501(c)(3) no kill shelter for all breeds of dogs and cats located in Huntley, IL. Founded in June 2002, Animal House Shelter takes in, cares for, and adopts out abused, neglected and abandoned animals, especially those scheduled for euthanasia at other shelters. Once rehabilitated and ready, these animals are carefully matched with prospective adopters and placed in loving homes. Over 39,000 animals have been adopted from Animal House Shelter, many of which were those passed over for rescue by other shelters. Animal House Shelter does not discriminate against animals based on breed, age, or health problems and we pride ourselves on taking care of any medical needs that the animals might have regardless of the cost. Animal House Shelter relies heavily on private donations to run the facility. Our latest initiative is to establish an on-site veterinary clinic so that we can better accommodate not only the needs of our resident animals, but the needs of all of the animals in our community. Animal House Shelter currently must outsource all of its veterinary needs and this forces us to deplete vital resources that are greatly needed elsewhere. We are hoping to raise funds beyond those of our current operating costs so that we can build this much needed addition to our shelter. Because Animal House Shelter regularly takes in animals with significant health problems, we often find that the funds needed to care for their medical procedures, surgeries and medications exceeds that which we have available to us. The cost of this care would be offset greatly if we had our own vet clinic to care for their needs. We would then be able to rescue and rehome a far greater number of animals. We see every day that there is sadly no shortage of animals in need of rescue and sanctuary and many of those that have even minor health problems are not being given the chance for rehabilitation and adoption into a loving home. Animal House shelter can only take in as many of these animals as we have the funds available to care for. A vet clinic of our own would allow us to not only have the resources to care for our resident animals but would also allow us to provide a low cost veterinary clinic to serve the needs of our community. It is our hope to continue our already adamant campaign that all dogs and cats should be neutered, vaccinated, and have quality health care available to them. With the addition of a veterinary clinic to our facility, we will have the ability to provide these services to those who would otherwise not be able to afford them. Along with the veterinary clinic, we would like to also give back to the community by providing resources for a training facility as well as an education center for the care of animals. In conclusion, it can be stated with confident certainty that the expansion of our shelter to include a
veterinary clinic, training facility and education center would greatly enhance our ability to continue our important work in animal rescue and would significantly impact our ability to better serve our community. The all-day golf outing includes: 11:00 a.m. Valet and Bag Handling upon arrival. Elgin Country Club staff will tag the guest s bag and place it the appropriate golf cart while the valet parks the car. A registration area will be set up inside the foyer and each guest will be assigned a locker, the locker rooms will be fully staffed. The Driving Range will be open. 11:00 a.m. Elgin Country Club will provide a buffet lunch in the Palm Room featuring a Deli Selection of Cold Cuts and Cheeses, Beer Boiled Bratwurst, Assorted Bakery Fresh Breads, 3 Homemade Salads and Homemade Potato Chips, Fresh Fruit Mirror, Fresh Baked Assorted Cookies and Brownies, Ice Tea, Lemonade, Pop and Bottled Water Station and a variety of condiments. To Go containers will be available for late arrivals. 12:00 p.m. Shotgun Start. Halfway House and Snack Shop will open for beverages consisting of bottled water, pop and sports drinks included in the package.
