TPC JUNIOR CAMPS Junior Camps (ages 7 16) are designed to help the new junior golfer up through those playing at an intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience level to create the most favorable learning environment possible. For three hours each day, campers learn to hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf s fundamentals as well as fun! Junior camps are a condensed version of our summer clinics, practice, and play programs. We meet Tuesday through Friday mornings from 8:30 AM 11:30 AM daily including lunch with the pros. TPC JUNIOR CLINICS Weekly classes designed to provide an educational platform for juniors to learn the game through swing and short game fundamentals. TPC JUNIOR PLAY DAYS We believe it s important for juniors to get on the course and learn to play golf from a hole out perspective. Junior play from different tee distances based on experience and skill level. Wednesday mornings at 8:30 AM beginning June 20. Golf Staff supervised play for our up and coming younger juniors. Play nine holes at skill appropriate yardages and advance through our Operation 36 levels, earning TPC Junior Bucks along the way. Guests are welcome! TPC SUPER PRACTICE Supervised practice is the study hall of golf with juniors practicing alongside our PGA professional staff to learn good practice habits and improved skills. One hour Super practices provide feedback and structure to each session. Super Practices are Fridays at 10:00 AM or 5:00 PM Dates: June 22, 29; July 6, 13, 27; August 17, 24, 31 Cost: $15 member/$20 non-members TPC JUNIOR BUCKS We encourage good learning behavior so Juniors can earn TPC Junior Bucks for such things as demonstrating skills, playing and practicing on their own, good sportsmanship, and the like. TPC Junior Bucks are redeemable in the Golf Shop in a special area just for juniors.
PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE PGA Junior League is open to junior golfers ages 13 and under as of August 1, 2018. Players wear team jerseys and compete against other TPC Junior League teams. The format for team matches is a two-person scramble which reinforces the team concept and creates a fun environment for learning the game. All players are guaranteed to play at least six holes in each match and there are four to six matches during the season which runs May 15 to June 30. Last year our matches were on Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM, and we are looking to have at least four TPC teams this year in our own league. TPC JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Open to TPC Twin Cities Junior Golf Members, 7 17 years of age and younger as of August 26, 2019. Participants must walk while playing holes but may be transported by adults between holes. Agebased Divisions will play various length of tees. All players play nine holes. Adult volunteers needed! Date: Sunday, August 26 4:00 PM Tee times Cost: $20 entry fee MINNESOTA PGA JUNIOR TOUR We encourage our junior golfers who wish to play and compete to join the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association. The association has a variety of local events for every skill level from Beginner to Advanced. Registration is available now and event sign-up begins in March.
