Referral Program If you have friends or family members that would enjoy a personalized introduction to The Fox Hill Club, please call our PGA Director of Golf, Scott Stevenson. Now may be the perfect time to share all your Club has to offer with your friends! With our exciting new Membership Referral Program, we ve made it even easier and more rewarding for you to do just that. Starting March 1 st, we will kick off our newest Membership Referral Program at the Club. It is as easy as this: Regardless of your current category of membership, you can refer a friend for Membership to us and we will take care of all the details. You can rest assured that your referral will be treated with the same attention to detail that you expect and enjoy at the club. Here s the best part while your referral enjoys a private, personalized tour of the Club and access to all the amenities with our compliments, as a way of saying thank you to you, should your friend decide to join as a member, you will receive a referral fee. Here is how the program will work. From now until May, 31 th the golf initiation fee will be reduced from $3,000.00 to only $1,500.00. Our Social Membership initiation fee will remain at $500.00. The referring member will receive a $400 credit for each member they refer on their account. Also, the referring member will be put into a drawing for one of three grand prizes. Each and every member referred will add another entry and a chance to win the drawing. If you refer three members, golfing or social, you will have your name in the drawing three times. You will also be awarded $400 for each and every member referred. The first grand prize winner will receive 4 months of free dues, the second winner will win 2 months of free dues, and the third winner will win a 10-pack guest pass book, in addition to the credit already earned. The same member may win multiple times should their entry be drawn more than once. The lifeblood of our Club is a strong membership. The ownership is committed to making Fox Hill a wonderful private club and truly Northern Colorado s gem. With the addition of the Members Pub, the NEW concrete cart paths, and the remodel of the fitness room as well as the addition of $40,000 worth of new equipment, the proof is in the pudding. To help us better achieve our goals as a club, we need your support and ask each member to refer a friend, colleague, or family member to the club. As you can see, now is the perfect time to brag about your club and tell your friends that we are more than just a golf club. We also offer tennis, swimming, locker room and fitness facilities, as well as providing meeting rooms for social or business settings. In addition, members will enjoy fine dining and excellent customer service from the staff. Being a Member of The Fox Hill Club has tremendous benefits and is something you, and they, will cherish and enjoy for years to come.
GOLF SHOP NEWS Important Handicap/GHIN Update!! Please note the new policy for the 2016 season: Members will no longer be automatically billed for renewing their Handicap/GHIN Number. This includes members of the MGA & WGA. Your handicap will not be automatically renewed/billed as part of your MGA/WGA dues. It is each member's responsibility to renew/activate their GHIN#. Posting season for 2016 begins on March 15th. Members wishing to activate, renew, or establish their GHIN # must do so by notifying the golf shop in person, or in writing via email to Stewart (skoch@thefoxhillclub.com). The $47 handicap fee will be processed through the Golf Shop point of sale system. If you have any questions regarding this change, please call the Golf Shop at 303-651-7600.
GOLF SHOP NEWS Posting season is right around the corner. This starts our summer dress code. Denim will no longer be allowed on the golf course or driving range. We will be enforcing this rule starting March 15th. It's time to start thinking about knocking the Winter rust off of your golf swing! We've got the perfect solution for you...your golf shop staff is offering a Spring Lesson Special to help get your game back in shape after a long Winter! Series of 3 Lessons for $100. Must be purchased by March 31st, but the lessons may be used throughout the 2016 season.
Rich s Turf Talk What a difference a month makes!!! Last month, the course was covered with 10 inches of snow and spring was nowhere in sight. 30 days later, the course has been open for 2 weeks and we are all looking forward to the upcoming season. As I stated in last month s article, we expected to see a lot of snow mold disease on the course as the snow melted. This was the case, however, the disease was limited to the higher cut turf and the greens were not affected. As the course continues to come out of winter dormancy, those snow mold areas will fill in. On a side note: If you have any of these areas in your home lawn, just take a leaf rake and rake over the infected areas a few time to lift up the matted down turf to allow air to get down to the plant. If you ve been on the course lately you ve probably noticed some trees with ribbons tied around them. The pink colored ribbon marks the trees that are scheduled for removal. The yellow colored ribbon marks a tree to be pruned of deadwood. In addition, we ve dug out 20 stumps from last year and are in the process of filling the holes back in. Other items you will see us doing over the next month are as follows: Burning of cattails and grasses in the lakes Continued tree work Getting the bunkers back into shape from over winter Installing a few more sprinklers throughout the course. General course cleanup
News from The Grille Even though the weather wasn t the greatest, had some great turnouts for events! Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday was a success! With 24 reservations and over 100 people attending. It was a blast! For Valentine s Day, Chef Aaron created a 4 course plated meal that was amazing! The team served over 75 people! The bottomless Bloody Mary s and/or Mimosa s was a hit! Keep an eye out for more of that in the future! Prime Rib night continues to be popular and we will continue to offer it on a Friday every month throughout Spring and Summer. Depending on what other golf/member events are going on, the date will change so keep an eye out for the newsletter blasts and get your reservations in early to ensure seating. Don t forget Fish Specials every Friday through Lent! Please help us provide you with the best service possible and try to use your minimums throughout the month. The grille often gets hit hard at the end of the month with last minute to-go orders or reservations and it makes it challenging for kitchen as well as wait staff to provide you the service you deserve. We staff accordingly to avoid long ticket times, but with a full restaurant as well as calls coming in, it sometimes is unavoidable. We are working hard as a team to provide great food, awesome service and fun events throughout the month so you have many opportunities to meet your minimums and hopefully exceed them!
