Stake Distances Orange 50 yards Green 40 yards White 30 yards PeeWee 15 yards When shooting, the shooter must touch the stake with a portion of his/her body. Scoring 1 st arrow: 20-18-16 2 nd arrow: 14-12-10 3d arrow: 8-6-4 Double scoring is required. Score cards will be collected at the completion of each course. All scorecards must be shuffled and groups busted. A group with 3-4 friends or family members, plus an outside member is considered busted, provided that the outside person is one of the scorekeepers for the group. Rules and Regulations: 1. Archery Canada rules apply to all areas of competition, unless otherwise stated. 2. Every athlete must be able to produce appropriate identification at all times. 3. The safety of the shooters is of the utmost importance. Any shooter who ignores a shoot official s orders will be disqualified from the event. 4. All children must be under direct supervision of a parent/guardian. 5. Groups waiting to shoot a target will position themselves a minimum of 15 yards away from the longest shooting stake of that target. 6. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Any action considered by range officials as unsportsmanlike will results in disqualification. 7. Under no circumstance will alcohol be allowed on the course. 8. No range finders will be allowed at the shoot. Anyone possessing a range finder will be disqualified and asked to leave. 9. Binoculars (hand held) will be allowed. 10. The Southern Alberta Summer Games has a Zero Tolerance Harassment Policy. If a competitor, coach, parent, or spectator is abusive in any way towards officials, other competitors, or volunteers, they will immediately be ejected from competition.
Registration Deadline: Registration Deadline as designated by your Regional Director All registrations are done through your Regional Director, who will determine the Regional Deadline. The registration fee must also be submitted to your Regional Director. Signed consent forms must accompany the waivers. No late registrations will be accepted. Events will be cancelled if there are one or less individuals or teams registered. Should any event be cancelled due to lack of registrations, the athletes being affected by the cancellation will be given opportunity to re-register in another suitable category provided that the event is scheduled to run.
