RULES & REGULATIONS 1. Entry fee payable to the Federation in respect of the championships is Rs. 5000/- for each Team Event; this has to be paid by 20 th July, 2018. 2. Entry fee of Rs. 700/- per player per event will be charged for open events from such players who are not members of the team. The entry fee for extra entry will be Rs.3500/- per player. 3. The entry fee as per 1 & 2 above should be remitted to the federation office, New Delhi. 4. Boarding & Lodging Charges: Participating Institutions will make their own Boarding and lodging arrangements for their team members. In case any Institution desires that arrangements for boarding and lodging should be made by the host, a request in writing should be made well in advance and the charges for the same should be paid to the host. 5. All events shall be held under the laws and regulations of the International Table Tennis Federation as adopted by the Table Tennis Federation of India.. 5.a The following Events will be conducted 1. Men s Team 2. Women s Team 3. Youth Boy s Team 4. Youth Girls Team 5. Men s Singles 6. Women s Singles 7. Men s Doubles 8. Women s Doubles 9. Mixed Doubles 6. Team Event: The competition shall be conducted in two stages. Stage 1 Stage 2 All the teams shall be divided into four groups i.e. A, B, C and D and shall play on round-robin league basis. The Draw for the II stage will be taken out as follows: In Stage II, the winner of group A and B will be placed in draw position 1 and 8, the winner of group C and D will be drawn between position 4 and 5. The runners up will be drawn in the remaining places in opposite halves from the winners of the same groups. All the Matches in the team Championships shall be of best-of-5 games. Team Match: Playing system (1) A team shall consist of 3 players. (2) The order to play shall be A v/s X, B v/s Y, C v/s Z, A v/s Y, B v/s X.
7. Individual Events: Singles Events: Doubles Events: All singles events shall be conducted in two Stages. All players, except the top 16 ranked, will be drawn in groups of 3 or 4 players where they will play the league. Two players from each group will qualify for the second stage which will be held on a knockout basis. All matches in the first stage shall be decided by best-of-5 games and all matches in the main Draw shall be played in the best-of-seven-games format. The Doubles events shall be conducted on a knockout system with all matches played in best-of-five games format. 8. The following shall be entitled to enter: All the affiliated (who are not in arrears) Institutions shall be eligible to enter one team each in Men s & Women s, Youth Boys & Girls Team Championships. Each team shall consist of maximum of 5 players in case of Men and Women Teams and 4 in case of Youth Boys and Girls Teams. A minimum of 3 players is a must for a team composition in Men, Women s, Youth Boys and Girls team. All the States & Institutions may nominate maximum of two entries in Men s Doubles, two entries in Women s Doubles & 4 entries in Mixed Doubles. The state Associations are also eligible to send entries in the Men s Singles, Women s Singles event as per their entitlement in the National Championships. 9. The open events of the Inter-Institutional championships will be treated at par with Zonal Championships. Players of State Associations are also eligible to participate in open events and the player s performance will be decisive for ranking. 10. The Championships will be held from 1 st to 7 th August, 2018 10.a Equipments: Tables/Nets Flooring Balls : STAG AMERICAS : STAG (Red) : STAG PREMIUM PLASTIC BALLS WITH SEAM 11. The participants in the championships will have to find their own conveyance from their lodge to the playing arena and back. 12. The complete draw and programme for the championships will be put up on the Notice board at the venue and shall serve as the only official intimation to the competitors regarding the programme and time of play. All authentic information regarding the championships can be had from the Organising secretary/competition Manager of the Championships. 13. Umpiring will be done in English Language only. 14. In view of organizational difficulties, the order of play will not be altered even if the captains mutually agree, unless it has the final approval and consent of the Competition Manager/Referee and the Organising Secretary. 15. The Captains of the team scheduled to play at a particular time, shall report to the Chief Referee or his appointed deputy at least 40 (Forty) minutes before the time fixed for their matches and teams not present at the time scheduled for their match are liable to concede a walk-over to their opponents. Any protest or appeal on any point of law may be made only by the Captain or, if he is absent or playing, by authorised representative of the team.
16. Online Entries: The entries have to be submitted online by logging on to our website ttfi.org and the event page. Each State Association/Institution has already been provided with a User ID and password. No entries will be accepted through mail or any other communication. No entries can be entered after the deadline for final entries, i.e. 16 th July for Institutuions and 20 th July for State Associations up to 1200 Hrs. Change of entries are permitted up to 22 nd July, 2018, 1200 Hrs. With regard to any clarification regarding online entries, States/Institutions may kindly contact our Competition Manager at his mail id ganeshaniob@gmail.com or Federation office at: ttfi@ttfi.org 17. The draw will be held on 27 th July, 2018 commencing at 10 A.M. at TTFI Office at Delhi. Each Institution from which entries have been received is entitled to be represented by one person duly authorised by the Institution. 18. Entries will be accepted only through affiliated Institution/State Association of the Table Tennis Federation of India. Direct entries from Individual players will not be accepted. 19. Entries will not be accepted from such Institutions which have not: (1) Complied with the rules and regulations of the TTFI in respect of Affiliation fee, Associate Fee and in the conduct of open tournaments and/or annual championships. Each Institution should pay an Affiliation Fee of Rs. 25,000/- each year which falls due on 1st April every year. (2) If not complied with the decisions of Annual General Meeting of the TTFI held in previous years despite clearing all the arrears. 20. The Managers meeting will be held at on 31 st July at 20:00 Hrs at the venue. 21. All the players participating should have registered themselves with TTFI for the year 2018. Entries of unregistered players will not be accepted. Institutions are requested to send the registration form of those players who have not registered so far for 2018 with a Registration fee of Rs.500/- (per player), through DD drawn in favour of Table Tennis Federation of India, New Delhi. 22. The Opening ceremony of the Championship will be held on 1 st August, at 18:00 Hrs 23. Players who are representing an Institution (Team Championships) in this year s Inter Institutional championships are not eligible to represent another Institution during the year in the Senior National Championships 2018. 24.
