1st Quarter brought some exciting changes to our reading curriculum. As we began Wit and Wisdom we did, indeed, see the "wit and wisdom" flow! One part of the curriculum is Socratic Seminars where the level of discussion reaches amazing depth. Flow On Reading classes! In addition to the academic rigor happening, our character continued to develop in many ways. During 1st quarter 48 middle school scholars were rewarded for "Triple Zero"- meaning they had zero deposits in Life's Work, Discipline and Uniform. In elementary, several students were awarded with the TRUST Trophy while discipline and Life's Work numbers dropped! ** Above Mrs. Rienzi's class participates in a Socratic Seminar

1st Quarter Awards Assembly 1st Quarter Award's Assemblies will be held This Friday, November 18.The Elementary Assembly will begin at 1:30pm, followed by the Middle School Assembly at 2:30pm. Both assemblies will be held in the gymnasium. Students will be recognized for attendance, zero deposits, high honors and Cum Laude. Middle School will also announce Red Tie winners. Award's assemblies are times for us to celebrate a quarter of hard work and dedication to mission. We hope to see you there! Spirit Day Next Tuesday, November 22, is our November Spirit Day. This month we are celebrating "Our Future's So Bright We Have to Wear Shades". Students will be able to wear their favorite sunglasses and favorite color of the rainbow shirt all day. **Please remember that it is a uniform bottom day. Weekly Updates! Save Around Coupon Books Milwaukee College Prep 36th Street is sponsoring the Save Around coupon books to help support our student fieldtrips. For every 5 books a student sells, he/she will get 1 book Free. Book sales run 11/14 to 11/30 - All order forms and books need to be returned to Mrs. Neal Wednesday Nov. 30th. Your free book(s) will be included in your order delivery. If you do not return your sale book, you will be billed $25.00 on you family invoice. Parking During the Winter Months Please remember to pay close attention to the parking restrictions in front of the building during the winter months. There is no parking on the right side of the street beginning December 1. We don't want any of our families to receive parking violations, so it is important that you do not park on the right side of the street to avoid the parking tickets. Also, during snow removal, please make sure to pull all the way over to the left side of the street if you are going to stop so that 36th Street is not blocked during arrival and dismissal times. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in

making the winter months run smoothly. Thank you MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Our Winter Concert will be held December 21, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. This is a time to come together and celebrate the beauty of the season and the talents of our scholars. Please mark your calendar so you can join us as we celebrate through song!
