Student Announcements Monday 3/13/17 Hey all you Plant Lover s, it s time to plant our seeds for the Spring! We will now meet EVERY Tuesday in W545 and the Greenhouse after school until 4:15 to start planting and nurturing our baby plants. We need all hands on deck, since Shuman is down one. Thanks and see you there! Big Sisters is asking for dress donations for DPS! Please donate any gently used prom, homecoming, and other formal dresses. Dresses can be dropped in any of the donation boxes located around the campus. Fine Print wants your writing and art! Submit your work online with the English department or in boxes located in the East Resource Center and library by March 15! Just a reminder that the Snack Shacks are selling delicious Little Anita s Breakfast Burritos every Thursday morning. $3 for your choice of sausage, bacon or potato burritos! Get em while they re hot!! The next CCHS community blood drive is Thursday, March 16 in the west café. To reserve a spot, go to bonfils.org and use site code 2231. Questions: ask Mr. Mimmack. Thanks for saving a life! Let s give our Creek READ posters a facelift. Sign up today at the Library Technology Desk. Time slots available for administrators, staff, teachers and all Freshmen and Sophomore students. Come and pose as an individual or group with your favorite books and props. Have your picture taken and made into a poster. The posters will debut in April to celebrate National Library Month. So don t delay, sign up today. Ecological Action meets every Wednesday in W419 after school. We are dedicated to taking action, not talking about it! The final Student Senate Interest Meeting is in the Activities office during periods 4-6 on Tuesday, March 21. You must attend this meetings if you are interested in running for Senate. PARCC 9 th Grade testing dates are March 14-17 th, with makeup day on the 20 th. For opt-out information please visit our school website. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hold a human heart, brain, or liver? The EPIC Medical Careers class attends a cadaver lab. This class is offered to soon to be juniors and seniors during the fall semester. Pick up the pink directions from the counseling office or Mr. Stirrup's office W439A. Do you need tutoring or just a quiet place to study work or get your work done? Stop by Beyond the Bell for tutoring and study time every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:00-4:00 in IC 715. Teachers & National Honor Society tutors are there to help, and there are snacks! Seniors, are you interested in becoming a teacher? You may qualify for a scholarship. Pick up an application in Post Grad. Deadline to submit is 3:00 pm on Friday, March 24. Tomorrow, March 14, is Pi Day. How many digits of pi (3.14159265 ) can you recite from memory? Stop by the Activities Hall during the lunch periods and test yourself at the YAB Pi Day Contest. The top 3 participants will win a pie & certificate. SPECTRUM : Creek s Gender Sexuality Alliance Club Will be moving their meeting day to MONDAYS. We will meet on Monday s from 3-4pm in room E 71-outside the East gym. Calling all March Madness fans.colorado Teen Effect, a club raising money for a school in the Dominican Republic, is running a March Madness bracket. Entry is free, but we are asking for your generous donations! The winner will receive a Chipotle gift card. Sign-up outside of activities today, Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition, if you want MORE basketball please sign up for Colorado Teen Effect s 3 vs 3 March Madness Tournament on March 21st in the South Gym. $9 per team pre-sale, $12 at the door. Sign-up outside Activities during 5th period. Key Club will be having a meeting on Mar. 16 at 3:00 in W430. We will be holding 17-18 officer elections and discussing upcoming projects. Please come vote!! See you there! Cherry Creek Library s March Book Madness final round will be between JK Rowling s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone and Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird. The books competing are on display near the west gym or the full bracket can be seen in the library. This is the final week of voting! So come to the library and
