Congratulations to our under 9 s on their sterling effort in first division, our under 11 s for their perseverance and to our under 6 s and under 7 s for an excellent effort this year. Without Parramatta s definition on first past the post we cannot declare them premiers just yet, although we are already aware of what champions they are. For the remainder of the season we are holding semifinals down at Darling Street and would appreciate the support of parents and members of our club community to assist on BBQ duties, ground management, first aid and canteen roster where possible. We will be hosting our first game of the semis on Saturday 18 August 2012 so would hope to see plenty of faces there. Our A-grade play this Friday 10 August 2012 at 7.45pm at Darling Street for a local grudge match against old rivals Wentworthville. Club support would be encouraged to help our boys get across the line. Hope all enjoyed our end of season BBQ on Saturday afternoon and here s to a successful finals series.

THE DEVIL S ADVOCATE Issue #15 3 Last Round BBQ Whisper in the devil s ear Which Club Executive admits he Can t get it up.?

THE DEVIL S ADVOCATE Issue #15 4 Round 14 Match Reports U6 s WON VS Kellyville 36 to 0 WOW!!! What a season the littlest devils have had. We went out onto the field on Saturday with the hope of another win to end our season on a high and we did just that defeating the Kellyville Bushrangers 36-0. The team went up to the tackles hard and fast to make sure that the Kellyville players didn t get too far and score any tries. One of our littlest players Zach Oliver almost got his first try but unfortunately he was tackles just metres from the try line, he told his mum that he was going to run like lightning and he did just that. All of the kids on the side scored a try except for Zach and Thomas, Great Effort though by them. The team played terrific all season only going down to one side- Fairfield United which has made them come equal first on the ladder. Congratulations Kids, you deserve to be there!!!! I hope to see you all next season so we can do it all again. A special THANK YOU to Coach Rob and Trainers Colin and Chris for being at the training sessions and games each week in the cold nights and early mornings to get us where we are!!! From your Little Devils the U6 s REMEMBER: You were ALWAYS Little Winners to all of us that came to the games to watch you play. We are off to a Gala Day this Sunday with the under 7 s Let s hope we both get some wins..

THE DEVIL S ADVOCATE Issue #15 5 U7 s WON VS Canley Vale 26 to 0 WOW what a game, our little Devils managed to prevent Canley Vale from scoring in the 30 minutes of play, beating them 26 to 0 We saw Callum run in 3 tries, 2 from Ethan and Lucas scoring 1 which he converted!! The boys played a great game and were both strong in attack and defence and it was great to see such enthusiasm and energy on the last game The boys have improved so much especially when we look back to their first few games. We have seen their confidence grow, enthusiasm for the game at every match and great sportsmanship like behaviour both on and off the field. As a result we have witnessed the boys develop some great tackling skills and techniques, ability to help each other in attack and defence, and hopefully most of the time they listened to their Coach Warren as he shouted on many occasions, don t go near the side line..!!! But most importantly let s hope they had fun Greystanes Devils U7 s also came first in the ladder on 22 points, beating Winston Hills on 21.GO OUR BOY S. How great are they Thank you to Coach Warren and Trainer Darren for their patience with our little ones, and we know this was stretched at times.ok, lots of times..!!! A big thank you to all the parents for attending training even on the coldest nights, and for coming to the games to support the boys and for shouting, well practically screaming encouragement. We think they heard And this is the last match report from me, Manager Tracy, for the season. Hope to see you all next season. Tracy, Warren and Darren.

THE DEVIL S ADVOCATE Issue #15 6 U9 s LOST VS Hills District 6 to 32 A very entertaining game of football played today. The last time we met this team, the Hills enforced the mercy rule in 34 minutes. This time we gave them a game of football. At half time it was 6-12 compared to 30-0. Our kicking game by Joel was fantastic which was equalled by good chases by the Devils. Our defence which was lead by James, Piti, Joel, Bradley, Tapui, and Tyrell was outstanding which was supported by Cooper, Ethan, Connor, Francisco, Lola, Cody and Kalvin. Well done boys keep up your fantastic efforts Coach

THE DEVIL S ADVOCATE Issue #15 7 U12 s WON v Parramatta Junior Eels 18 to 12 A very close game against a much improved Parra Jr Eels. Kyle, Mohammed and Brandon are playing much stronger footy and improving week to week. Good job boys. A strong defensive game from Jack G, Gene and Tim. 1 try from Brad and 2 tries from Gene with conversions from Billy, Tim and Korrie. You all need to remember to stay in position and move the ball out where you can. A lot of incorrect tackles in this game, we need to work on this. Overall not one of our better games but nice to end the round with a win. Congratulations boys for making it into the finals. It makes me proud to see that you have all come so far as a team but we still have some work to do in the next few weeks if we want to make the Grand Final. Cheers Nick Goutsios Coach

THE DEVIL S ADVOCATE Issue #15 8 U14 s LOST v Blacktown PCYC 8 to 52 Not a good day for our side at all. We were always going to struggle going into the match with only twelve players. We now have to pick ourselves up for a mid week play off against the same side. Hopefully we have a full strength side so we can put some pressure on our opposition. U14 s Play Off LOST v Blacktown PCYC Well our season has come to an end. The boys were fired up and put in a determined effort tonight but PCYC were too strong. I take my hat of to this team who have struggled for numbers all season but never threw in the towel. Hopefully next year we can get a few more numbers and give it a shake. A massive thank you to Manager Kylie, our training staff and all the parents for your help throughout the year. I have been proud to coach these young guys and I look forward to watching their future development. Well done guys A Grade WON VS Merrylands 30 to 6 Everyone stepped up tonight, not a bad player on the field, special mention to Mitch King for bagging a hat-trick as well as the players player award. Rock solid defensive effort was the foundation that enabled us to get the points over a team that we have struggled against most of the season. Good news for the entire team seeing Robbo score his maiden try for the year, and avoid the nudie run. Special mention has to be made regarding the debut of a new winger, that s right, the man who has been in as many positions this year as the Kama Sutra (and is almost as old) James Adair filled in on the wing when the chips were down, and did the job beautifully. Special mention must go to Roni for once again supporting Eddie at Eddies Kebabs, congratulations on devouring a hot dog and 2 kebabs. Eddies eyes light up like a kid at Xmas every time he see s Roni coming. Wenty next week at the cauldron, a win over them could see a major semi final berth. Match report written by Matt Austine. Players player was Mitch King Tries: M. King 3, J. Pita 1, L. Parsons 1, L. Robinson 1 Goals: Liam Parsons 2/5, M. King 1/1. Thanks to all players, training staff, Matt Special Mention Austine, sponsors, committee and supporters for your ongoing support. Turns Love is playing every game as if it s your last. Michael Jordan
