PRESIDENT S MESSAGE The 2017 golf season has come to a close and I thank you the members for a very good year. We consist of 91 clubs and 1900 members. The Western team matches were organized among ten clubs with approximately eighty women participating. We also had a Sunday tournament at LedgeRock CC that produced a great turnout. This was the first weekend tournament and we hope to continue with others. We congratulate Merion Golf Club who won first place in the Philadelphia Cup. This was their 69 th time! Our Women s Inter-City team won the Griscom Cup at the Country Club of Fairfield in Connecticut and the Junior Inter-City team placed second at the matches at Concord Country Club in Massachusetts. Laura Hammond completed her first full year as the Executive Director. I could not have been more pleased with her professionalism and performance. I am confident she will continue to support the Association to the very best of her ability.
This is my last year as President. I have been privileged to serve in that capacity for a total of five years. It has been a wonderful experience and I am grateful for the many people I have met and friends I have made.
