CLASS OF 2017 VALEDICTORIAN ELLIE MICHALETZ CLASS OF 2017 SALUTATORIAN TAYLOR EHNSTROM VALEDICTORIAN/SALUTATORIAN After graduation, I will be attending University of Jamestown, ND, where I will be double majoring in biology and psychology, and then possibly minoring in UJ s Character in Leadership program, all of which are for pre-med. I have also received a scholarship to play volleyball while going to Jamestown. After earning my degree from University of Jamestown, I am planning on going to medical school in California to become a Sports Medicine Doctor. I would say my parents, Steve and Becky Michaletz, have been the biggest attribute to my academic success. They have always believed in me and pushed me to always do the best that I can. Throughout high school I have learned the most from school, sports, and my relationships with other people. Without the help of my teachers, classmates, coaches, teammates, friends, and family, I would have never been able to grow into the person I am today. One of my favorite senior quotes was said by one of my teachers, Mr. Miller, when he said, Get better. Next year I will be attending University of Northwestern in St. Paul. I plan to play either volleyball or softball there and major in nursing and specialize in pediatrics. The biggest influences I have had throughout my years of high school would be my parents, my teachers and my coaches. My parents, Jeff and Jen Ehnstrom, have always been a super strong support system for me and I wouldn t have gotten through high school without them. They are always supporting me at every event and bending over backwards for not only me but my whole family to make sure we are all doing okay. The teachers at Aitkin High School are the best, they truly care about the students and I owe a lot of my success to them. They are all willing to help at anytime, whether it s helping with homework, personal problems, or just being someone you can talk to. Lastly, all my coaches have made a big influence on my life. They have taught me many life skills and have taught me how to be a better person, not just a better athlete. Sports are a big part of my life and they have made my experience the best I could have had. I have been blessed with so many special people in my life that have all played a big role in shaping me into the person I am today. 3

CONTEST TERMS AND RULES Coloring contest participants must turn in coloring sheets for judging on the day of the Aitkin County Rivers and Lakes Fair at the fair entrance stations by 12:00 pm (noon). The Aitkin County Rivers and Lakes Fair will be held at Aitkin High School on June 17 th, 2017 from 9 am until 2 pm. Participants must place name, age and phone number on the coloring sheet to be eligible to w in. Participant s phone number should be recorded below. One coloring sheet entry per person. Judging will be completed by a 3 person panel and contest at 1:00 pm on the day of the 2017 Rivers and Lakes Fair. the intercom system Contest winners need not be present to win. Winners will be contacted if not present to collect prize. Prize pick- up must be coordinated with Aitkin Community Education if not present to collect the day of the fair.
